I remember that day well. I lived 15 minutes away from where he died. The entire state of Minnesota mourned this man. Weeks and weeks of Prince's movie on every channel. Such a sad day.

It's crazy how people were behind both Prince and Michael ....

Prince was taking powerful painkillers because he had hip surgery. His hip problems came from years and years of jumping off of high rises and pianos in six inch heels. He said in an interview with Travis Smiley. I am going to jump off of pianos until I can't jump no more. The autopsy even confirmed that he had a scar on his hips where he had the surgery.

I imagine those who lived in Minneapolis took this the hardest. He was their pride, their neighbor their friend. He loved his city and its ppl and they loved him. He will forever be engraved in the hearts of Minneapolians.

whats really bizarre is the fact he had no will, yet somehow his people knew he wanted to be cremated? a day after his death to burn his iconic body to dust is beyond me... this whole story is so fishy it smells like fish... cmon, he even left a princetagram, his last message to the world.. "Just when U thought U were safe" .. either he wrote that himself or someone took care of Prince , wrote that, and then placed him in the elevator as another jab at the man. If he was killed, someone was really pissed. Aside from the conspiracy theory... so he goes into an elevator and passes out and dies? wheres the elevator footage?

I have loved Prince from the beginning. I was born in 1958 too! I remember his first Time on television. He was on the Dick Clark show! I knew then he was going to go someplace with his sexuality, good looks and his just beginning his singing career, I so wished I had of seen him in concert. But, hopefully he is seeing all the people who still care and haven't forgotten him. Will never forget him. All love to you Prince! May we meet in the afterlife. I too love Jehovah...

Ive found it hard to actually get around to writing my comment, because I don't want to believe that my absolute favorite artist of all time....is gone. I've been a fan since I was 7 years old in 1979, and thru out the years I've followed him and music which has been a huge part of my growing up. No words will ever describe how talented, genuine, beautiful, gifted this man was. I was always intrigued by his eccentric ways, and that's what separated him from the rest. He always had everyone wondering, he was mysterious in every way. There are several other performers and singers that I love too, but this Man and his music truly touched my heart. He was secure of himself 100% and that's what made him sexy as can be. When I learned about his passing, I cried as if I had just lost "one of my own". All I know is, there is and will never be another like Prince! He was truly one of a kind, and I will continue to play his music as much as possible. RIP Prince, thank you for being YOU!!!!

I've always loved Prince and like most, I didn't know much about him or his character. However, after seeing multiple clips, KZread videos, interviews, etc., I feel as if I got to know him a little. He was a private person, yes, but also so very generous, funny, spiritual and intelligent. I really wish I could've known him. The friends he had were very blessed to have known him. His music and lyrics will live on forever.. Now THAT'S amazing!

We know John Lennon and Paul McCartney were prodigies with irish catholic roots and mother issues. WHAT'S PRINCE'S STORY? He was Creole so clearly mixed race, maybe he identified as black and I respect he was a black icon but in the UK he would most defo be classed as mixed race and I am quite sure a dna test would show that also. I have a many mixed race friends and family members who look more African looking than him so no one can convince me otherwise.

If there were security cameras all set up around Paisley (& in the elevator) did the cops watch the tapes? Maybe they did and then destroyed them. Or, had the cameras all been turned off? If so, why and WHO turned them off? Where had Kirk been during the 24 hrs before the discovery? Will we ever know all of this? And, why the hell was his sister so nonchalant about the whole thing? That's my local hospital and it's super small they don't allow people to even stay more than 24 hours unless you are having a baby. If someone has to be hospitalized for more than that they move them to another hospital like 10 mins away in another town it's very strange

I don't know who else noticed this but I noticed that Prince did not look healthy during his last few years alive. I remember seeing him on the Arsenio Hall show in 2013 or so and noticed how pale and tired and thin he looked. He also looked like he had aged a lot. Something was not right. He had never been a big strong guy but he had looked way healthier before, like his color was darker and he was a bit heavier and his hair was thicker.

I think Prince also had an illness cause Idk whatever he had going on catched up with him fast. The police blacked out Prince’s health information & history page due to privacy. It might’ve been something on the page that has to do with Prince. The Investigation was just done poorly. The police should’ve locked up Paisley Park then & there on April 21 cause his associates were getting rid of computers, deleting files & shredding documents.

Prince is gone, and his fans are grief-stricken and broken-hearted. So many unanswered questions -- we will never really know what happened to him on that day and the days leading up to his untimely death, unfortunately. So many of us loved him. The fact that his death is a "criminal investigation", which means the authorities believe there is "foul-play". I don't think Prince wanted this. I don't think he was planning to leave us. They say his death was "accidental overdose". How do they know this? Prince's bodyguard/drummer knows more than what he is telling. Prince's doctor's know more than they are telling. What was he picking-up at Walgreen's the day before he died? What he was given was "lethal", so someone needs to be held accountable! I don't think Prince meant to overdose. I think there is something else going on here. Sadly, we will never know the truth. I am so sad that Prince is gone. He was one of my favorite Artists of all time. He gave his ALL to his Fans. His music meant so much to him an his Fans meant the world to him -- I don't think he would just go and leave us like this. Just my 2 cents.

Yep. It's so sad. Prince had been taking fentanyl. I'm guessing that's what he picked up at Walgreen's. He didn't mean any of this to happen. He took so much medicine it killed him within minutes later. What is not true is that he died alone in an elevator. Someone could have been there. Like a bodyguard or a chef or someone to be there to keep him safe. Honestly when prince was prescribed for medicine. Shouldn't he be reading the bottle to take how much he needs? So sad. I thought he was gonna live a long awesome life. Guess I was wrong. RIP honey. We'll miss you so much. We all admire and love you. Stay blessed. 👼👼👼

+Diana Liu he ALLEGEDLY takes pain killers for his hips, which are totally stuffed from his career. No surprise there. If you are taking an opioid pain relief , even if not abusing it, it can really affect your lungs & other organs. Cause it slows everything down. Now if he had a really bad flu & his lungs were suffering .. Who knows. We just have to wait for toxicology. And even then I'm sure I'll be very suspicious of what "they" tell us it was. I love Prince he was my favorite singer I've met him several times in downtown Minneapolis next to the Da Vonnies pizza yes he loved pizza he is such a nice person prince he actually was out in public when I was there in 1998 through 1999 to hear about him dying really really breaks my heart Minnesota will never be the same without this wonderful singer and person he is really really going to be messed. U think they may have poisened him? I think he was murdered too cuz the whole "celebrity deaths come in 3's" saying. First it was actress Doris Roberts, then former WWE wrestler Chyna and then Prince. and all those deaths happened in one week. I know it was murder. I don't believe he died from the flu. I've had the flu before and there were times I didn't get treatment for it and I was still ok.

As a musician prince is like required reading or something..he was just so talented and weather you liked the type of music he made or not if you have a love for the art of music you just have to have a deep and huge respect for him and his passing is so sad and such a loss to the world as a whole...and I don't want to start anything but it just really feels like the people who are brave enough to speak out and tell us the truth all shortly thereafter end up dead from either suicide or an overdose ect and just feels like too many of the great people that are trying to do the right thing end up dead...sad and scarey

My prayers go out for him and the people (if that's what you want to call them) if they even have souls, I pray they stop this needless killing. Lord, thank you for all the love, strength and sacrifice you have given us. I love you more than anything in this world. Please help these people find the love you give.

The way I understood it, he did in fact suffer from hip pain which is the reason behind his opiate use. Nothing uncommon or unusual there. As for the hip replacement theory, there was no mention of such. Prince put a lot of strain, wear n tear on his legs, hips and thigns with the many many years of various moves and dances which finally caught up with him as he got older. Dude kept it together though. I certainly have nothing but love for him 💖 I've been a fan since day one and will continue to be until my calling. R.I.P PRN

Well said. I tried to say just this exact comment a couple of days after he died & people jumped me. The 2nd I heard Sheila talk about his hips .. I knew exactly how our man died. As you say nothing that unusual really. Happens to people everyday. But Prince?? I never thought he would die or at least I had not given it a thought. I was so shocked, still am but slowly coming to terms with it. He really does live on through his music & movies.. But I will miss the mysterious interviews & pop up shows & just knowing he is among us .. So sad, not anymore. I like you loved him from the start & will never stop. lexdee523 YES, he had scar's on his leg & hip, where he had surgery. Couldn't any of you people tell he was sick? Loved him so much but, could not tell he was sick, dumb asses!!! Anyone could tell he was very sick. He had hip surgery & couldn't you all see he had Limp, when he walked? The cane wasn't for looks... People see what they want to see...Too many screeming idiots, to see or tell he was sick!!! Even on his last night, he gave you all his last time, playing his Piano. Then he died 7, DAYs later. y’all wanna know what’s even more crazy, on April 21st 1996 he suffered from an overdose but made it. only to find out that he died that same day.

By the time most of us, including YOU reading this, gets to 57 yrs, we'll be taking pain killers too. Especially those of us who got injured doing athletics, playing sports, the military, etc. -R.I.P. Prince

When I heard that he died .. I felt numb and lost for a thought ... It was quite shocking to me .. but as usual the haters paint all these irreplaceable musicians as drug addicted losers .. they are human they suffer through things as we all do God Bless You Thank you for all that music 💙

I remember the day he died I was so depressed at work we had a bunch of new dishes coming out and my manager asked if I wanted to try I couldn't even take a bite I had no appeptite and jus starved myself I felt like I knew him personally or felt his energy I was also raised by JW as well

I honestly believe his death is linked to Vanity’s death in February, two months before. He was badly affected by her death. They were soulmates, unlike some of later relationships we heard about. She left him, not the other way around. He dedicated a song to her in one of his last appearances. I think he gave up. He was in a lot pain. This, her death, and some of his concerns about what was and is going in America, played on his mind. There was a lot more to Prince than people realise. Because he was a very private person, we’d never know. That’s why his death was such a shock.

Prince didn't follow hospital instructions and left the hospital. If he just listened, he may still be alive. Being on drugs did not negate his musical genius.
