Inside my $56,000 A-Frame House for Debt-Free Living (Dave Ramsey Inspired)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

My wife and I quit our 9-5 jobs, sold most of our belongings, drove across country from Oregon to Michigan, and bought an A-Frame for debt-free living before 30.
The decision to move away from a big city to a smaller one allowed us to have more control over our time and actually focus the things that matter to us.
After following the Dave Ramsey baby steps, we are now completely debt free including the mortgage.

👨 Who am I?
I am Jereme - my wife and I paid off 50k in debt, quit our 9-5 jobs, sold most of our stuff, drove across country from Oregon to Michigan, and bought a small A-Frame Cabin in cash to live simply.
This decision gave us more control over our time to actually focus on the things that matter to us - serving Christ, each other, and our community better.
I created this channel to empower you to become more intentional with your time, talent, and money in order to live the life that you want to, not what society expects of you.

My husband and I purchased a 968sq foot home right before we got married and we still live in it 2 kids and 21 years later. The key to living small is to purchase only things that have multiple purposes, keep things simple and to realize that bigger is not always better. It looks like you guys already have that down pat, congratulations. I will say that living in a small space can definitely come with challenges once you have children, but now that mine are both young adults I realize I would never change a thinng, even if I could.. All 4 of us have such a close relationship, enjoy spending our free time together and treat each other with love and respect. I am so grateful that we chose to live within our means and live small.

@@gojereme sensible to spend once on a good quality product. You're still young but a good choice should see you out. I like the way you've opened up the space with a light colour scheme. A couple of strategic walls in light pastels, like the big rug, could prive useful with children about. You'll quickly find out which ones. Lol Speaking of children. The rail on the banister looks like it has gaps big enough for a toddler to get through. Glass or extra uprights would solve that without blocking the open feel. Good life move. Enjoy.
