Australian here. You picked a good country to like.

For any Australian or really anyone the Eureka Skydeck, next to this tower, was the tallest skyscraper in Melbourne and held its title for quite some time. I remember being a kid and going up it seeing the views and being inside the cube, which is such a cool idea for a skyscraper. It’s sad to see its title taken but honestly this new building is a beauty and the alongside the skyline of Melbourne it just adds to its beauty.

It is one of my hobbies and travel the world and go up into the largest skyscrapers. The Edge was a cool touch for Eureka Skydeck, however I've never done it due to insane price. This new building better have a tourist view at the top.

Really awesome to see this in depth walkthough. Puts in context when I see the building being completed outside my window. Kind of a cool feeling to see how often Melbourne is featured on B1M.

This channel is Fantastic with how much y'all can go behind the scenes and see so much of the buildings are made and how they're able to maintain not only a beautiful Architectural Design, but also get to see the Meat and the Potatoes in how it can substain the winds, weather, etc, while also focusin on the residential, office, and Enviormental part of the buildings. Keep it up! I'm glad I've subbed to this channel.

All Aussies love Malaysia. Actually, it was an Australian company that designed and engineered Malaysia's new tallest building.

Eureka tower, which is seen nearby to this is another one. Q 1 on the Gold Coast is the one this build tops.

I literally pass by this every time in the city, never seen inside it of course, but it is so visually stunning. The Eureka had a good reign but the title of tallest will never be a long term title. Love your work coming from Australia ; )

I work in this building once in a while and have been to the top many times. At first it was great but after a while it just feels like any other residential building. Nothing special.

Wow, another amazing video, the quality is excellent, this is better than anything I’ve seen on mainstream media. In fact my tv is very personalised now with subscriptions to choice channels, and the b1m guys take pride of place. Really enjoyed the vid and first time I’ve seen Dan, he’s a good presentation. This channel provides so much in-depth information about the topic/s being discussed in the video. Last video was Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas and that was great. This video also was just amazing

This is an amazing feat of engineering. However, this project will be seen in retrospect as an epitome of the greatest excesses in Australia’s credit-fueled real estate bubble.

​@@himynameis3102 Because the people selling them at these inflated prices will never back down, wanna know why, because in the case of highrises, they're mostly Chinese investors, and they see it as a safe place to keep their money instead of a shoddy Chinese bank. So even if it takes them 5 years to sell a highrise at the inflated price, they STILL made a profit, and they never had to entrust their money with the Chinese Communist Party controlled banks..

Really proud to live in Melbourne. We have so many exciting projects happening - e.g. Australia 108, Premier Tower, the Metro Tunnel and many more in the pipeline e.g. Green Spine (which will actually be ever taller than Australia 108). Can't wait to see how the city changes over the next decade - it looks very promising.

Do you know if pre-construction activities like geological testing and demolition are occuring at the site, now that it has approval? I would love to follow the activity!

I saw this building while I was in Melbourne Jan 2020. This video was great as it allowed us to see inside and see the amazing views. Well done.

Sydney has height restrictions because the Airport is in the middle of the city, it's nu archaic it's due to the airport requirements unlike Melbourne Airport which is in the Boonies

Well it probably won't val up in today's market - purchased in the boom, settled in the slump - such is the curse of skyscrapers. Still.. I guess the purchaser has the $$s to numb the pain.

That is such a dope view, landscapes, citiylines, sea views, parks and lakes, it really has everything

All tall building in Australia go to bedrock, one advantage of out cities is there is almost always bedrock to build on, sometimes is close to the surface sometimes it's a bit further but it's there.

Not sure if it's just me, but I really enjoy when the construction firm managing the project is represented. It's always refreshing to research new companies and see what other projects they're working on. Also, thanks B1M...I wake up every Wednesday excited to watch your videos during lunch.
