Interesting video, thanks for sharing. Also interesting cosplay of Lara Croft and handy dandy pocket tools that would make the A-Team and MacGyver blush.

8:54: The box on the floor with the words : Verschlußvorratsteile 7,5cm Kw.K. For anyone wondering, that box originally (According to the description) would have contained spare parts for the 7.5 guns breech. (Verschluß=breech, vorrat =spare teile=parts) And yes, Schwimmwagen absolutely means it "schwimms" (schwimmen=to swim Schwimmwagen=swimming wagon).
beautiful machine, I personally like how the paint was not perfect. It shows that the machine is operational instead of just sitting in a museum.

A much needed injection of personality and humor to an otherwise dry and smarmy community. A pleasant watch.
In an era where sadly so many are tearing down and burning history, thank you for covering those who are keeping some of it alive. It means a lot to this history buff.
It was an absolute pleasure to have a look round inside when we saw it at an event. It made my lads weekend

I've followed this build from the start, going from a range wreck to this is amazing
Yes, schwimmwagen means swimming car, although it means floating car in context. It was based on the chassis of the kübelwagen, which means bucket car. It was called a bucket car because it was made by bolting stamped metal sheets to a tubular framework. Both cars were made using Volkswagen parts. The kübelwagen was rear-wheel drive only, unlike the American jeep, but because of its construction it was so light that it didn't really need four-wheel drive. It was pretty handy off-road, and if it got into trouble, a couple of men could push it out pretty easily. The schwimmwagen's construction was more complicated because of the need to make it waterproof, and it had a propeller on the back that was raised and lowered by use of a metal stick from the back seat. When lowered, it had a connection to the engine it fit over. Steering in the water was done by using the front wheels as rudders. In the footage I've seen of schwimmwagens in the water, they swim with the wheels in neutral to keep from splashing water up into the passenger compartment.
I really am happy i found your channel. It’s rare to see someone who likes tanks and armor in this much detail.
Holy shit the before and after! He did pure miracle work, but his wife also deserves credit for not divorcing him- but encouraging him to buy it and believing in his ability!!!

Rita this is so cool! That guy seemed so chill, I honestly love that he was able to do it on a budget and not used the original engine. Tell Jingles I said hi :)
Love that it looks used, instead of perfectly clean everywhere. Very cool. Thanks Rita.
Hello from California From one Portuguese to another.I love stuG and all of its models .This one is really nice considering he started with a wreck( Master craftsman) Great video and keep up the great work.
that bit of footage of it at drive tanks was hilarious
Excellent video and excellent English. You speak the language better than many native speakers.
I genuinely laughed at the bloopers, thanks Rita. 🤣🤣🤣
That gun breach protection is correctly named "recoil guard" :)
That was a great video! Can't wait to see more like it! Thanks for taking the time to do it for us!
this is such a wholesome video . hope all is well with you and everyone in your bubble .
Thx Rita. Thx jingles. Everyone can learn from passionate ppl.
Rita! What a great video! Thanks, and I hope all is safe and well with you, your cats, and that old guy you're shacked up with!
Thanks for the fun video and the rare opportunity to see this amazing piece of equipment.
wow! glad to see it brought back, looks great, good job rita!
Just found this channel and this old Veteran really enjoys its content.Thank you, original, different in a very good way and Im looking fofward to many more
What i love about this vehicle, is the paint damaged of being used. it's not the clean museum piece, but a real represatetiv( probably fuck this word up) of used tank.

True. It looks like it's ready for an overhaul, but will be used for a few weeks more, because combat conditions demand it.
Great footage! Thanks for sharing
Thank you Rita. .
Great video Rita!! Well done!!! Thanks.
4:30 "Oh it's got a bullet hole, no good, throw it out . . ." Very nice video, thanks Rita. :)
I have been following on his Facebook Restoration-Page from the beginning. It was an outstanding job he did there and it was the highlight at Facebook for me for nearly 3 years.
never thought id see a real one, thanks for the video, and keep up the great work!
Perfect social distancing vehicle for going shopping at Lidl in a little (ish) tank. (the end was amazing lol)
This is hella cool, and it's clear you had a very good time making this video 😄
Dang Rita! Looking awesome as always AND. Making awesome video too.
Love the video and love the 'green screen' type presentation too! Keep up the great content Rita - thank you :)
“That wreck”. That was very much a wreck! What an effort to get that running.
Rita I really enjoyed your presentation, it's good to see a younger person doing what you are doing.
Great video Rita!
Real interesting seeing how this vehicle was put together by the restoration community. Also... Love the weather report green screen.
This was awesome! Keep up the great work
That was interesting. Looking forward to the next one.
Hey Rita I can guarantee your English is a lot better than our Portuguese :) Love you videos I really like the hands on focus !
Thanks Rita, I enjoyed watching the video.
You have such a passion for tanks and history, keep doing the good work that you're doing you're amazing I look forward to future videos.:-)
Great job Rita! Keep the good work! And, yes you're good lookin', too! Look forward to more tank stories!
Really enjoyed this 👍
nice to see you again, enjoyed this immensely
the man did a great job. I have two left hands and I have to be careful not to break my neck when changing tires 🤣 . too bad he sold the StuG to america. i would have loved to see it in a european museum. does he start a new project? From Schwimmwagen to StuG, the next logic step would be a Jagdtiger, i guess?
That's a really good format for the video. Having you jump out to explain things on screen.
Thank you for a great video.
I followed this restoration project when he was doing this on facebook,,, amazing!
I love this video. That is a beautiful Stug III and I am impressed at the job he did on it.

I wish they could restore a SdKfz234/1 or any of the puma series
Great job
I love tanks and love Rita Croft
Awesome video! I drove past that everyday at war and peace (we were on the corner near the bridge to the opposite field with all the desert camo lol), shame again another awesome vehicle has gone to the US but at least it has a good keeper!
STUG LYFE!!!!! Excellent Video, keep at it
Good job Rita! You're looking good! That was a really awesome look inside that particular armored vehicle. I would not want to be The Driver though is that thing that got hit in combat. But seriously have more confidence in yourself you do great. have a great weekend and you stay safe too
You did a wonderful job on the video, and a much prettier face to look at these days. :0)
I love Stugs!
hey Rita love the vid, well done you.
great video! your english is fine lol! john seems like an awesome fellow.
Looking at the key needed to unlock the Stug, I'm not sure that isn't just a C/12 primer key, designed to unscrew the primers from the bottom of the shell cartridges... It would depend on how big it is, but it would make sense to have the same tool do multiple things.
Keep up the great work! The first video watched. Watching for further vids. Best of Luck
Yes I know this StuG III Ausf. D as I saw the restoration videos, a wonderful restoration indeed. The only thing that it is wrong is the guards over lights and the siren because have never been installed...
Great Video ! "We are not done yet , U silly woman..." - Priceless - LOL
Great to have you back, Rita. Bemvindo. So technically, are you one of those students that wreck our game (WOT) now in the summer? ;)
