Jeez I didn’t expect that story to get to me like this. A father really will track his son down to the ends of the earth. That’s awful, but I’m glad the fam got such a committed private eye and got to being him home. When I was his age, 8ish years ago, I was a mess, I’m genuinely surprised I’m not dead. (I know this was terribly accidental.) And I couldn’t understand why my dad wouldn’t just leave me alone and let me spiral instead of tracking me down no matter how far away I got or what I was on or what I yelled at him. And he’d always calmly say “because I’m your dad” and it’d drive me insane. I don’t even know how many times he had to do it. More than most fathers would have, I’m sure. It worked, though. I’m doing alright now. Not out of this world amazing, but, I’m alright. I should go see my dad tomorrow though.

I did, no worries! I saw my dad last week. I texted as soon as knew he’d be up after watching this. Then I drove an hour to surprise pick him up so we could go out to lunch. We had a really good talk. A somewhat awkward one, at points. But really good. He was a bartender in a past life so once we got home he made drinks, you know, those deceptively good ones that get you wrecked out of nowhere? Yeah, those, and we drank and watched stand-up to detox from all the heavier emotional stuff. (I’m glad he’s long changed his stance on it being okay for men to sometimes be emotional.) I wouldn’t trade it and I don’t think he would either though. Definitely gonna try and see him more often. I didn’t think anyone would read this let alone be invested in me seeing my dad, thank you guys, that was very kind. All the best!

Clearly there needs to a better strategy when searching in and around water. That one diver has solved how many cold cases now.

AMAZING ! Thank u for men like this that refuse to quit. That keep pushing on for what they feel deep in their hearts. The young man himself most likely fell through the ice and succumbed to the icy cold waters. Eventually floating down stream like this man showed and became trapped under debris and ice. Rip young man.

@@shirleycameron7718 his parents hired a private investigator and he looked and looked with help of his father! The kid mom was the one that push her husband to hired this PI and the father intuition was leading to where he was found. That's really really sad and so surreal!

I often wonder if people like Brendan stood by shouting in the other realms until someone heard where he was on a level we do not yet understand. God love him....rest easy kiddo.

There’s been some talk about the Smiley Face Killers and Brendan Santos. A very good friend disappeared New Years Eve while we were all out celebrating in Chicago. He turned up in Lake Michigan on the Indiana side. It was very upsetting but there was talk of the Smiley Face Killers. Another one our friends is now an FBI Agent. He says there is now smiley face killers. I think there is something he is not saying.

He was just using the frozen river as a path. That is not unusual -- I have walked on that very river in that location myself -- but it was too early in the season to be doing it. The ice was not thick enough yet.

How did he go missing in the first place? How did he end up DEAD in the river? This video raises more questions about how he just simply disappeared and ended up in the river. I really don't see any type of closure in this case.

There are no difficult questions. He broke through the ice and drowned. He was intoxicated, so his judgment was impaired.

This is gonna be made into a movie

The police don't have time to do what this investigator did. Someone likely would have found him in the spring or summer.

I see so many cases where people are found in their cars under the water. How that happened ? I understand accidents happen, but so many cases . I wonder if some thoses cases are suicide.
