This probably wasn’t even the most “insane”hand that was played at the final table this series. With that kind of title, I was expecting a 10 to hit the turn or river. Instead, I watched 6 minutes of a pretty damn standard hand all the way up until the questionable all-in river call. UPDATE: LOL well it looks like PokerGo got the message and changed the title of the video. The original “click baity” title was: "Is This The Most Insane WSOP Main Event Final Table Hand Ever?"

  • @totalhysteria

I also respect it. Thinking about it, the chipleader doesn't rep too much value on the river. He could have 99 or 88, but they also might flat pre some portion of the time. He surely has all the remaining combos of AJ and probably some pure 3b bluffs with a jack in his hand. He probably needs to have at least trips with a decent kicker to shove the river for value I think. Keep in mind Lococo also has all the nutted combos in his range and has a great opportunity to trap the chipleader. I just don't think u can vbet too thin. Hands like AA/KK probably takes the same line but checks the river. So he has some value but not a lot. Any strong player will take advantage of this situation and overbluff as chipleaders because u fold out so many winning hands. Lococo clearly expected the chipleader to be capable of running a triple barrel bluff and apply max ICM-pressure. And he was probably right about it, but sometimes u run into the nuts and it sucks. Still, I guess you should fold the river in general, but I can definately understand the herocall once in a while.

Absolutely correct. He had what 43 million or so by the river. He folds and he still has 43 big blinds while the majority of the table has under ten to under 25. Even if you think he's bluffing you should wait for a better spot. And he didn't even think about it on the river. Seemed he made his mind up on the turn and was calling anything regardless what came on the river.

Mano complicada.

Even though he probably feels his hand is under repped, his opponent has to have been 3betting relentlessly to justify a bluff catch here. Maybe against the guy who kept going full throttle with 3-2... There may be some bluffs in his range, but I think this is just a fold for Lococo.

Just ran it through an ICM calculator; so if he wins the hand his stack is worth $4,832,280.67, if he folds it's worth $3,056,975.43 and if he calls and loses its worth $1,225,000 (the 7th place payout). So basically he is risking $1,831,975 to win $3,607,280, so he has to be right around half the time. So it could be a punt but it depends on the hand - is Koray bluffing half the time here? I think he should be theoretically since players on this FT seem to be trying to ladder up alot. But tbh from watching this tournament it appears that people tend to have it. What do you think?

There's zero chance its that much of a snap call on the river. even if youre just thinking chip leader just bullying. you lose to any jack 9s and 8s that get sticky. mandatory fold. the icm is fishy up to 5th place but youre 2nd theres a player with 8bb get out.

Bad Call by Lococo. He did not HAVE to call. If he felt more sure about his hand he would have made a move earlier. Calling in the River is giving in to giving up....
