Brilliant Stephen! I have trouble sleeping at night so put on relaxing sounds on my alexa and i allways play thunderstorm! ....and it sounds JUST like the one you captured audio wise! ...helps me to nod off to sleep!

I am sitting here in Stoke On Trent, Stephen giggling like a little kid! I'm from Texas and I love how you impressed you are by the storm. That is average for us but most are more violent. My English hubby did not understand why I was disappointed in British thunderstorms until I took him home to Texas to visit family. He witnessed a couple of good ones and even his first tornado. Now he understands. I am so happy that you are having such a great time in my home state!!!! I'm a little homesick now......

I went to Dallas years ago to visit my Sister, the storms were amazing, love a good storm (as long as I'm indoors) 😂⚡️⚡️

Glad you got to see one of these babies. Down here it was about 1" total of rain. Really it wasn't that bad....these storms are one of my favorite things about TX, even though the pups hate them. The only problem is the day after my horses love to roll around in the mud which makes a lot of cleaning work for the next couple of days. 😂

No where does thunderstorms like the US. I was in Las Vegas in the mid 90s and there was a night time thunderstorm way off in the desert. Every time the lightning flashed it lit up miles of desert and the mountains that were in pitch blackness otherwise. It was spectacular.

I have seen quite a number of videos of thunderstorms by Americans, but this is the first time by you, very good, it reminds me of going to Phoenix AZ, where the temperatures are 120F every day during summer. There was this storm there (very rare) just like yours

If you're ever in Florida in the hotter months thunderstorms and heavy rain like this at night are pretty regular, every couple of days sometimes they get a storm like this, crazy really, the rain water is warm and once the storm passes the rain and wet floors are dry in like 20 minutes because of the extreme heat. Amazing how long the thunder storms can last, with continuous lightning. Thanks for taking the time to film it in the early hours.

When you said we have nothing like this at home in fact here in Devon England we had the same experience the lightening we had was also indeed non stop basically through out the night. I don't know if it was raining hard or not but It flashed non stop like in your video from your area Houston Texas . As it was also on our local news. Good job we never had a power outage. Also once in Crete we had a powerful electrical storm it was amazing to watch it as I was outside no were near my hotel.

That looked nasty m8 least you was indoors instead of being in it have a safe journey back home take care stay safe

We were followed by a storm like this from Montgomery AL to FL. We stopped for food and the lady advised us to leave within ten minutes. I said what happens if we don’t and she said you’re staying with us until the morning. We left in a hurry. 😅

You should hook up with Pekos Hank, he films tornadoes, takes amazing stills of lightning, would be Awesome! 🤠🌪️⚡️

I know America does it big, is that the view of the back garden in your room or are you in the hotel on your own?
