The phase 1 engines are the best for tuning - especially the 1.9 turbo which makes about 200 bhp stock Also the BTCC S40 was a phase 1, they are very good looking cars

@@sigha2b2t Yeah I agree. I think 300hp is fairly achievable in the 1.9t. What would be incredibly cool would be a 4 cyl T6 swap with the paddle shifters but I can only dream. What is more of a reality is rods, microsquirt and a TD05 16G.

When it comes to the 5-cyl and V10, I think I have a clinical addiction to their sounds. Can't get enough of those major-thirds 🏎💨🎵

Everything from the key in the ignition to that unique sound of Volvo interior panels, took me back to all the Swedish machines my dad and I owned when I was in high school. I had a 240 coupe that would do hellacious burnouts…………..as long as the slick concrete at the car wash was wet when I popped the clutch. 😂

Within the first 30 seconds of this video, you (As the viewer) get why we are, or become enthusiasts. From the keys dangling(When vehicles still had keys), to the hand, moving the stick shift knob back and forth(As a "Standard" transmission driver, you get accustomed to making that motion before turning on the vehicle. To assure yourself, that it's in Neutral, and the vehicle won't buck while trying to start), Something that is slowly but surely LOST, and will/we'll never get back... The rest?? Well, the rest is pure ASMR....
