About 8 and 1/2 minutes of Mikey going full boa constrictor. BJJ has changed a lot, and it looks complicated.

if you watch his instructional its even more complicated than it looks lmao he does everything based on weight distribution and he studies every single counter an opponent can possibly do and how to counter it lol

I’ve trained BJJ since the 90s and have watched Mikey’s instructionals and both your comments are correct.
Mikey is an absolute legend. So good for the sport, hes a real sportsman
Mikey is a relentless beast, and the best sportsman
I love the respect and talent this kid has. Very refreshing to see in today’s sports figures.
I love watching new videos of Mikey. He is sooooo F'ing good. I also love how humble he is in winning. Great stuff.
I almost tapped when hearing "CATCH"
Great match. Awesome content
Mikey is just so damn technical. That back control was crazy. He went from attacking turtle, to one hook, to two hooks with an arm trapped, to body triangle with the arm trapped on bottom side, and then to the finish all in less than 40 seconds. Such an amazing display of technical dominance.
That RNC was so slick. He used his support hand to grip his own choking arm's elbow and help slide the choke in easier.
Mikey's attacks are relentless. Huge respect for Almarwai surviving that barrage of leg attacks
thank you
That young man is such an incredible talent.
In addition to his technical skills, strength and sportsmanship, Mikey's conditioning is unreal,. Halfway into the fight, Almarwai is breathing heavily with his mouth open, Mikey is breathing as if he's taking a leisurely walk.
Mikey, the friendly and gentle assassin.
We love you Mikey!
LETS GO MIKEY.....LETS GO MIKEY.....LETS GO MIKEY. lool i love it. well done mikey
awsome system from back control
Mikey is wicked
When does Gabriel Souza come to ONE?
Somebody asking you to full mount off the rip in a fight, is terrifying
The way he covers his right hand to pass it under the chin for the rnc
Seeing Rigatoni not buttscooting makes me so proud
My knees hurt from watching this LOL
Mikey "The Man" Musumeci.
Now I understand why BJJ is bad for your knees haha
The pretzel hold by Micky lol
I'm watching this with a currently torn ACL, just cringing the whole time😢
4:42, 7:42 - BJJ is a filthy sport! :)
what do they mean with catch?
Mikey might be the greatest of all time

Nope. That belongs to the King
I always wondered why he leaves his foot out, like that. specifically, to bait the take down.

It's because of the One rules. You can't sit guard. Only jump guard
I have no idea how Almarwai evaded the finishes on his legs.
If osamah wouldn't be very flexible this match would be over in max 1 or 2 minutes.
Why does the ref yell "catch"? What does it mean?

its like an advantage. its a near submission. so its points for mikey.
Mikey is a nerd but that’s why people like him
Looks like he tapped at 5:45
This is really bad for the bones and the joints. I wouldn’t do this.
When autism meets BJJ

Mikey is mind blowingly good but leg lock BJJ is pretty boring to watch

I train BJJ almost every day, and have done so for 12 years, and even I sometimes have a hard time watching matches all the way through - regardless of the year. It’s just not a great spectator sport.

And also, I am way to goddamn old to be fighting leg attacks and heel hooks like that.

That's some cheap bait Charlie Brown.
Its so absurd, yet unique, seeing only grappling/jiu jitsu, without strikes and a different rule set. Such a weird combination.

why? you see boxing with no kicks or grappling. its another martial art.
Dude didn’t tap because he stands for nothing. Legs that will break because of ego. Imma try to not watch anymore of this dude Osama
My leg feel hurt just watching no one will come to this kimd of position in real fight no sportmanship either, just to be cruel enough to break the knees or ankles
@JamyDMusic

This is Jiu Jitsu, a sport, not street fighting. If you understood the sport more I think your opinion would change, it is very intricate but just looks like a couple of people rolling around on the floor on the surface. Also compared to MMA, Boxing, even American Football this sport is much safer and won't give you brain damage by 30 yr old.

@@JamyDMusic I learn also from no gi bjj, and that's what I have concluded with leg locks

ok but i can say there is no sportmanship in boxing, you just want to do pernament damage on someones brain, its all about different points of view
@user-hu7qw2hz8u

actually if youre on the ground and you enter into single leg x its a great position becuase your opponent cant strike you. then you take then down and destroy their ligaments. also its up to the other person to tap, not up to mikey to stop. grow up and snowflake. learn to fight.
boringgg

@planthub9252 for the millionth time. Wrestlers will always lose to bjj guys in a grappling match. But it's not a fight. And yes, I am a salty wrestler 😅

He trains 12 hours a day and he’s trained Muay Thai for years. The only reason their fights look like this is because they’re both really good. This is prolly bait also so have fun with this response.
