Innova Champion Vs. DX Plastic // Teebird Vs. Teebird // Disc Golf

What is good everyone in todays video I compared a DX Teebird to a Champion Teebird! Of course I had my own theory of how this would play out but I thought it would be fun to challenge myself in seeing if I could throw the DX Teebird just as well as the Champion! Over all it was a fun video and I hope you guys enjoyed it! Make sure to show some support and hit that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button!

It would also be cool to see a brand new DX Teebird/new Champ Teebird vs. Seasoned Champ/DX to be able to see how wear affects the different plastics differently.

This was a good idea. I think a Champion Vs. DX Valkyrie might be an interesting challenge.

There have been some starter packs with the DX Teebird. Other discs like the Valkyrie and Roc, among other discs. But the most popular one is that one with the Aviar, Shark, and Leopard. Also the GStar Teebird would be great in that weather. Slightly less stable, but super grippy, even in the cold.

The DX teebird from the starter pack is 150g. Are the 2 discs the same weight?

I lost my teebird this afternoon and have never been more frustrated. It had me hitting more birdies than I ever have on the par 3s..

I’ve always thought DX plastic adds like -1.5 turn vs premium plastic. I carry DX/Star combos of cheetah, Teebird and wraith. 6 very different discs.

If you check you might notice that the DX is actually smaller in diameter.

How? Aren't they the same mold? Or is that what tends to happen with DX?

Why did you buy a lower PLH DX Tee-Bird🤔? Weren't there any DX Tee-Bird's on the shelf with a higher parting line height? I'm guessing maybe your a newer player, in the 90's most of us would always look for a higher PLH version of any particular mold we were trying to buy. Well actually some noodle arms would look for lower PLH. Before you buy DX plastic just place it on the countertop and see how much the wing dropped during the cooling process after being ejected from the mold. This is far more important for the faster/ wider the wing gets, since they tend to sag more. Try doing this (Step 1) check to see if it's tactile enough (Step 2) check for the PLH you want, or if trying to match up to a current thrower in the bag (Step 3) check the shoulder transfer to the flight plate (Step 4) check the dome/overall height of the disc (just turn the disc over so the flight blade is now on the countertop and compared to your same mold disc or to others of the same mold on the shelf) (Step 5) *more so if buying an overstable mold* look to see how concave the bottom wing is you can check this with a quarter or car key basically anyting perfectly flat. The more concave that bottom wing is the more stable but only if it already has a higher PLH to begin with. Note small differences between PLH's like 1/64" or 1/32" make a huge difference in stability. I won't even get started on the different DX plastic mixtures Innova has used over the past 30 years, but here's a few Buttery DX ❤️, Chalky DX👌, Waxy DX🤮. Dear Innova if you're reading this please bring back the good old DX mix🙏 no one wants waxy DX plastic. We know it's still possible because you used some on the first two runs of DX Thunderbird's.

I screenshot your comment, good info man. That part about the bottom wing lines up with a theory I had, looking at a stack of Gateway Elements. Thanks for the thought!

Innova is know for inconsistencies. You can buy two of the same mold color and weight and they are going to fly different 3:26

Or at least lower the gain a bit during the throw. Easy enough to do, and helps the audio.

Well sure, don't try to throw it 400ft, it's a DX teebird, lol. I found one out at the course and had a ton of fun throwing the craziest hyzer flip shots thru the woods
