I highly recommend putting the accel and brake assist up and giving that a really good try. It was awkward for me riding at first with those settings turned up but once I got use to it, it made the wheel feel WAY more nimble and comfortable slinging it around in tight trail lines. Also, I am about 230-240 riding weight.

What's your breaking distance compared to other wheels though? I would be surprised if you come close to a wheel with good torque and smaller diameter, but maybe I'm wrong. I'm sure it's okay-ish but I don't like this trend of "safe" wheels getting slower and slower to stop due to being so big and tuned for top speed over torque. That's two steps in the unsafe direction if yo ask me.

@@matf4505 if you want a all around wheel the patton is awesome, but if you want to go off road the s22 is far superior, 130mm of travel, a bigger wheel or obstacle clearance, and lhb it looks better too. im not sure how well the 16 wheel feel over 50 tbh as well when you hit a pot hole etc but if you want to go fast, longer rides and do a little offroad the paton is a good wheel, but yeah i wish the s22 pro went just a little faster on top end like 45-50 would have made me a bit happier at the 3200 price point

I think the breaking is a deal (breaker). And that should be highlighted heavily in reviews, especially for wheels by companies that market themselves for safety supposedly. So maybe we can push some change for future wheels. We need to have a breaking distance standard I think to keep manufacturers honest and maybe curb some of this silly top speed and out of control wheel weight trend that we are seeing. How many people do actually want to go 80, 90,100 kph+ on these things? It is good to have the overhead sure but imo not at the cost of trading so much torque that you can't break safely and quickly. The sooner everyone realizes that these things aren't motorcycles the better imo. " The faster you go the more fun the V13 is ". I don't know why the "safe" company makes wheels with that design personally 😅

Mainly used for street and sidewalk commute, 25-35mph for 22 miles on daily base, hope to have slightly higher top end speed and more than 50 percent battery by end of commute, normally depends on how much I push the wheels my s22 and v11 both end with 44-49 percent battery

I don't think they could justify the price without being able to cruise at 40 mph with headroom. It seems like they've been alternating btw the suspension halo product and the biggest mass market appeal. I would love if their next wheel is a T4 killer rather than non-suspension, but I guess we'll see what direction they go.

even when not riding, the motor sucks power just to balance the machine itself, which leads to voltage drop, and maybe the way InMotion programmed their BMS to have a slightly higher cutoff, which leads to the wheel die at 4%. So, It does some things really well but disappointing in others. Braking , torque level and handling are the necessary. The EUC world plus it is nice to have convenience and this thing is heavy but that is not so bad as I don’t lift my EUC but once or twice a month max . This V13 is different as it is stable but doesn’t stop as fast as wanted. I have found that emergency stops are rare for me having thousands of miles on my Sherman so I plan for what might come up ahead but it used to be scary when I started out. The mind set changes as you get more miles of experience the EUC rider adapts plans ahead so hard braking is rare. I have gotten accolades from bystanders because in the normal mode of riding it looks really impressive to turn and avoid a sudden traffic choke like things can come together and you just have to find this magic escape route or crash ( it must to the bystander look pretty impressive). This wheel is an open road wheel comparatively but over time it can probably be figured out and be made to work. Maybe It just doesn’t have that playfulness and I would miss my Sherman. I just haven’t found a replacement that tantalizes enough to purchase YET.

Gonna have to disagree with you. The wheel has a lot of torque. Try it without suspension. You feel it right away. The suspension takes a bit of the torque off.

I was in between v13 and ex30 for my next wheel with more incline towards v13 due to the enhanced security measures yet the use of redundant yet weak mosfet configuration clearly kills the torque in this wheel. Shame to waste a wheel like this by putting such a weak controller

Your incline test is NOT valid - looks like you set your hardness to 100%, on this wheel it needs to be set at 0% to be hard (opposite setting of all other wheels). Check your Brake Assist and Accelerate Assist settings also - lower = harder. With the peddles set to their hardest setting - lean as hard as you can forward/back, you wont be able to pitch the wheel forward/back like you did you your video. The V13 will climb any hill that the tire can stick to (deflated street tire helps a lot - Michelin Pilot Street 2 Tire 80/90-16)

No but many YT content creators get a small commission kickback for each wheel they help sell from any one of several regional EUC retailers. While these fees help support each provider's channel respectively, the commission is on basically per wheel sold, so that the incentive to over-sell one brand versus another is minimized, which keeps the moral hazards of manipulation at a minimum. It's not a perfect incentivization program but it seems more biased toward the consumers (like us). Rather than being biased to promote the latest and greatest gizmo, EUC YTers get paid by proving the quality fidelity in their reviews over time. There are other factors that influence bias that create mildly wonky content decisions, like personality, likability, access, location, viewer count, etc... but these problems relate more to the inefficiencies of marketing and sales in general. If you watch enough EUC content, you'll come to want to use the discount code of your favorite YTer. Much of the rewards for deceptive content gets minimized over time, as you get to know the community but if you're new to the sport and impulsive, then YOU might end up choosing to reward a YTer based on your own lack of due diligence, in which case you might use someone else's code for your next wheel purchase. Most YTers are paid for consistency of message over time, and this is in the consumers favor. Does that help?

Also, affordability…( tiptoeing on that nasty - opulent fat issue). Inmotion sucks, my completely new V12 HS disintegrated itself after 200km, I don't expect to experience anything different from V13. I bought V12 after hyped Wrong Way!'s review and now I regret that decision: the wheel appeared to be unreliable, insecure, hard to service and made from low quality parts (first the lights and then the bearings went off really quick). Stay away from the latest IM products, V10 or V10F it's completely different, higher league of quality
