2:22 Tru that, I also get thigh soreness when I continuously try lifting my leg for a jump or twist. This is another great video, motivated me to go out and skate.

That leg swing over your head move in gymnastics they called it an illusion kick. It looks badass if we’re talking about the same thing

Teach me how to go backwards. I move so slow when I try. My legs probably weak for going backwards.

@@darksider7791 it definitely works some different muscles, keep pushing out with your heels and your legs will get used to it! Once you learn your back crossovers you’ll feel like a whole new skater! I skate backwards more than forwards now, back in the day I would force myself to skate only back wards for 5 minutes at a time and it really helped me feel comfortable

The jumps at 9:57 and 10:35 kinda look like the toeloop to me! Only they are on the edge instead of the toe pick, since you don't have toe thing

It's funny how at first I had no idea about the difference between the jumps, then I learned the theory of each of them, and now I'm seeing a lot of similarities I didn't expect. Salchow looks like an Axel entering backward or with a very quick forward entrance. And now this "toeloop on the edge" might also look similar to the salchow. And then I remember that quad skates use the toe stop on both the toeloop and the salchow 😂

I need really good form to use only the edge since I don’t use a toe stop, so I fall a lot on these. And if I didn’t pre rotate my salchows so much they probably wouldn’t look so much like an axel. 😭 Figure skating gets sooo much more entertaining once you learn all the different jumps and names of everything they are doing!
