Inkjet Image Transfer for Polymer Clay with Translucent Liquid Sculpey
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I do not have easy access to a laser printer, so I experimented and came up with a way to do image transfers onto polymer clay using an inject printer and translucent liquid Sculpey.

This tutorial explained it so well! Thank you :)
I love this! And I have ALL THE STUFF!!! Awesome! Thanks!!!
Can you please make a tutorial where you demonstrate using the gold leaf on the clay with the image transfer?
What is the spray resin you use? Thanks!
j'adore

Thanks for the tutorial Beth! Would I be able to use the same technique for a laser printed image? What effect did the gold foil produce when you backed the clay with it?

I don't know about the laser prints. Sorry

the foil makes a satin metallic effect behind the image but it does darken it up a bit.
thank you for this useful video. Could you tell how you manage to clean the brush you used with the liquid polymer ??

Isopropyl alcohol (just brush it around in a small container of it), afterwards some dish soap. If brush is still goopy, repeat.

I use baby wipes or rubbing alcohol
I'm sorry but I'm a bit newer to this and was wondering if you are using the actual photo paper or just regular printing paper? thank you

Its regular printer paper
Thumbs!
Thanks for sharing, Have you tried this with a full colour image? I've seen that some methods don't work with full colour images due to colours being dye-based.

I haven't had any issues yet. I think it's because I seal up the back when I apply it to the other clay.

I have used full color images but I have noticed that the red tends to come off more than the other colors.
I like this! I'm making a doll house and I would like small print's of my Husband, Children, and Grandchildren in it. Now you sand it after baking it two times? I'm sorry but this will be my first time. Thank You Jan Hunt

Janet Hunt yes, I sand it at the end
Those little bubbles that were caused by the liquid polymer clay can be fixed by running your heat gun over it.

Dear Joanna, hi, I saw the tip you gave to Beth and I was wondering how the heat technique works for liquid polymer clay? Because I thought it only worked on getting rid of the bubbles in resin. If you could let me know that would be great. Thank you, love from Amanda Jones in Australia ❤
How would I copy shrink/down size a photo of my mother for this

take it to the copy shop, they will do it for you, but it will probably be a laser copy
sorry I haven't answered any questions. I just noticed they were there. whoops!
While watching this, my cat committed suicide.

Maybe you should have been paying attention to your cat instead of being a troll...
Do you reply to the questions?

Mary Hansen sorry about that. I wasn't really paying attention when I should have been.
Hi Beth what kind of paper did you use for the image? Was it regular printing paper or photo paper?

It was regular cheap-o printer paper. You want to use that kind of paper because it breaks down easy with water and a little rubbing :)
