this is sri lanka which is developing country. It is not easy to treat wild animals as they dont have funds or any modern training or technology or easy access not available to them.. as far as i see thees guys are doing great job..they are trying their best..

Он уже никогда не увидет свою мать, если он выздоровет, его определят в слоновий питомник, там их поют несколько раз молоком и выводят на прогулки, а когда подрастут, то отпускают в природу с тем стадом в котором рос

The older gentleman in the chair I believe is a vet. I have seen him in other videos. He is directing the treatment and inserted the IV into the vein in baby’s ear.

Yeah, i was going to say the same thing. Sri Lankans are usually good at looking after their natural wild life, but not so when it comes to documenting them though. It's like they believe in doing more than talking or writing. But, documenting is very important to educate people, especially people outside that island.

I'm wondering if the delivery was "normal" ?? To me it looks like some kind of cerebral palsy because the baby ele can't stand, get up, roll over, & it looked like the baby had swallowing issues too when drinking the milk & the baby looks very uncoordinated...so sad & heartbreaking listening to the baby calling for its mother..😢 These guys in Sri Lanka are doing all that hey can to help this poor baby ele...kudos to them !! 💕 Vivi 💕

I finally figured out what creeps me out about the baby elephant cries. It is the fact that it is an adult/mature cry coming from a baby, i would expect a baby-type kind of cry, ...........................just imagine a baby crying like an adult....creepy...even demonic..........af! I cant stand the cry, i just want it to stop. Baby ellie get well soon and start trumpeting and doing all the other nice noises you make.

I don't think the baby elephant was injured. It was rather a weakling that was just being born and perhaps the mother was bit confused to nurse the baby, or the mother wasn't going well either. The vets appears to be doing the right thing by giving milk, massaging & administering intravenous fluid.

It looks to me like it has an injured right front leg. He/she was having a really hard time putting any pressure on it when they got him/her up. Plus also most likely dehydrated from not being able to nurse.

Thanks to all the wildlife officers who saved this baby elephant, without their love compassion, and caring nature this baby would surely have died with it takes bravery also, as the mother would attack them too, they all deserve an award of compassion and extreme caring of all the helpless wild animals, usually a the result of a human.
