Injora 2-stage foam test ( I like these )

Ойын-сауық

I like these foams! They seem to be soft enough to work yet not too stiff to bounce off stuff. Links below for these foams and more parts and pieces of this vehicle. Use them to support Exocaged RC, Thanks

    I just put in the new black heavy weight inner foams from crawler innovations. I am sold. I used the 4 inch inner and a soft outer. Both in 1.5 inch. For the 4.7 landmines. I get a 1/4 inch of squash and the it stops. So it’s sidehill city. I use hair bun xl’s in my trail crawler that sees a lot of water.

    I've had these on my rig for a bit over a month, running the rig almost daily, and so far so good! I DON'T like the foam shift though. The outer foam is super slippery on the inner foam and tire wobble is horrendous almost all the time. That's my only gripe. I may super glue them.....idk yet.

  • @Lord_Pistachio_Nut

    @Lord_Pistachio_Nut

    3 жыл бұрын

    To add to my comment, they've softened up a bit....clearly not the inner part haha! Now I haven't torn my tires apart since installing them so IDK if they're degrading or just maturing, and I've added about a pound and a half to the rig since first run BUT they are a little more squishy than they were fresh and have some good contouring going on. They DO get a bit stiffer in snow runs I've noticed. Not so much so that they lose anything, but visibly stiffer (could be freezing water in them? Who knows haha!) The added weight is awesome though. For grip, and suspension articulation! I'm excited to see what they do in my area's humid 100 degree August weather....maybe that inner will soften up too 🤷‍♂️🤣

    I think it was MIP that does or did make a tape for the foam inserts. Racers used it to keep tires and foams from ballooning up during racing. Maybe use the tape to keep the foam from shifting on that insert to much. Just a thought.

    After watching this, I just converted a set of Duratrax Showdowns with the Injora two-stage in the front and the OEM single stage Duratrax foams in the rear... and it's fantastic. The stock foams were BAD at anything sidehill, and the Injora in all four corners were too stiff, even with my rig at 10+ pounds. The mixed setup is PERFECT. I need to convert another set of wheels with the other pair of Injoras, but aren't looking forward to taking all those screws out again.
