Great video as usual emi! Inibuilds have really done well with this last update. I've done 4 flights with none of the bugs that previously plagued me. Especially like how they've integrated the ground physics from SU15! The airplane actually steers like a real airplane on the ground now !

Actually the drag is a bit overdone now, when going through turns with less than let's say 2/3rd tiller you should not loose speed really. But hey, I fully agree that they have overall done a good job!

@@A330Driver Yes! And that is where they should, and probably do, listen to folks like you who actually pilot commercially. Its way better than the current ice skate ring skidding in the 737..

Great overview - a question at the back of my mind - have you flown with this unit in an aircraft (or one very similar), or have you had to book-learn this for the video ? The reason I ask - in the real world I'm a software developer - so the design, evolution, and variation of the various systems in the aircraft interests me. While many are alike, there never seems to be many standard ways of doing things :)

Hi, I had to book-learn this one. IniBuilds had a nice explanation in their introvideo to the v1.1 update, to which I added a bit from the books and a bit of general ATPL knowledge and here we go.

Great video, thanks. Do you know if there are TCAS options built into this implementation of the IDC? For example can you perform a TCAS test and change the TCAS range like you can on the original standalone unit?

Hi, I do unfortunately not have the documentation on how to fly an RNAV approach with the A300. And if I'm completly honest, I think the implementation of the autoflight system by iniBuilds is a bit too sluggish to actually fly an RNAV properly, even if the plane is theoretically capable of flying one.

I tried it out on VATSIM today and I logged on to the center however the controller told me I was supposed to first connect via voice and ask for CPDLC before he will allow it. I didn't know I was supposed to do that

It’s not something I use much but impressive effort by iniBuilds. Thx for explaining the TUN functions. Self explanatory once you find it 😂. Thx for video invaluable information for the A300

yep, once you found it, it's a really good function. And the ability of safe/recall frequencies is really nice for things like Guard, Unicom, etc.

Is there a method for using the efb and/or mcdu on external device for the a300

How do you change the TICAS range with the IDS? LG

Yes, for the ACARS and CPDLC functions a hoppie login is needed.

Unfortunately not. Five times now silly Hermes and DHL missed their delivery windows for parts... and one was damaged and had to be sent back. New ETA for the complete system is by the end of the week.

So interesting , especially the fact that you get kicked of by nasty conversation. This should be in general for the Internet too. 👍
