    I did my endorsement landings at Lille & was told in no uncertain terms to flare! ( In the Simulator there was hardly any flare) In line training ( thinking back on 30 years ) after watching my training Captain 11 deg was the figure I remember & my landings dramatically improved.

    Are you really sure about 11 degrees flare? I really doubt it.

    @@namehowitzer7433 yes, I was doing some clanger landings till I got th E training Captain to do a landing while I watched - I had been doing flairs like I did in the F28 before that.

    @@billolgaau the FCOM says 2 degrees of flare in the LANDING phase and that PITCH PITCH warning would sound if pitch exceeds 10 degrees. 11 degrees is way too much.

    @@miguiaus9993 I do remember my bad landings on my endorsement with the Instructor saying "For c... sake flare!" & in initial training & the same thing. I went on from F/o to Captain. I have never heard from anyone about Pitch warnings when I flew them. (And the A310-300)

    Awesome Videos! Happy new year :) btw. Is there a way to turn on the light in the Passengercabin? I am flying at night and the Cabin is completely dark, is there a switch?

    Still struggling to capture the ILS in this aircraft. Some streamers are saying arm V/L **then** click LAND only when GS is captured? Can you list the proper steps? It would be appreciated. :)

    Thank you for the tutorial series :) I have a question for this video. I have seen that approach was not armed in the FMC/MCDU (07:15). Is there a specific reason for that?

  • @A330Driver

    @A330Driver

    6 ай бұрын

    Unlike in the A320 and later Airbusses you only need it for non precision approaches in the A300 and A310. For ILS'es it doesn't matter.

    I find it strange that the plane dropps so hard when you put the thrust in idle. Is that realistic?

  • @A330Driver

    @A330Driver

    6 ай бұрын

    Yes, absolutely. The majority of aircraft in MSFS simply don't simulate this but in the real world you can really feel your plane come down to the runway when pulling off the thrust. That's why Boeing tells you to reduce thrust so that the levers reach IDLE by the time the mainwheels touch down. You can really control the smoothness of your touchdown with this.

    Dear Emi! Happy new year! Many thanks for these tutorials series! I was just wondering if you haven’t experience lost of control of this aircraft e.g after unpausing the sim? Of just a sudden drop during cruise? Some users are reporting these kind of behavior. I myself experience it today after pausing the sim the aircraft was just out of control…

    Hi. I think in MSFS you have three pause options. The first one is ESC key which pauses the sim and takes you to the menu. The second one is "active pause" (MSFS default pause mode) which causes a series of problems such as altitude drops or even stall. The third one is "actual pause" (like the ones in every normal game). I find it useful setting the actual pause instead of active pause. If I am not mistaken the name for that is "SET PAUSE ON" and "SET PAUSE OFF".

    I've decided im not going to fly this aircraft until Inibuilds gets some critical updates to it. I have had a couple occasions where the engines just shut down. I reported these instances on their discord page. One was in cruise flight when I simply exited out to the MSFS settings page in cruise flight and then when I "resumed" to this sim the engines shut down and everything fell apart, the other was during taxi when I bumped the prop lever control on my quadrant (no I do not have any key bindings to it other than that of exactly what it is which has nothing to do with a jet aircraft). same result, engines shut down and I had to restart everything. This makes me respect developers like pmdg and fenix even more. Because you don't have stuff like this happen on their aircraft models. It may take the forever to release something, but when they do its fairly bug free and works well.
