I saw her sing this at The Beacham in Orlando, and it was an experience I will never forget. She put 100% of her emotion into it and everyone listened and cried and shut up and just felt the song. It was so beautiful.

There is this moment when she got that sad smile when she sings "You make me a ghost" and boom I really felt that. Just love her!

Every time I hear this song I get shivers. It is very well written and performed. Raw. Beautiful.

So sad that I just discovered this song in the past month. I feel like I have missed out on so many years of hearing it.

ingrid is one of those artists who sound as good or better live as she does on her cd.

those beginning chords are so beautiful, it's heartbreaking. and when she came in with the lyrics, i wondered how that much genius and talent could be concentrated in one person.

Tallent combined with a strong will. And her smile is amazingly attractive.

I remember listening to joni in the 60's and getting shivers down my spine, again in the 70s and the 80s. Each time the music and the voice matured. I get the same with Ingrid, the quality of the voice and the energy of the people she around her she inspires to make the music.

i'm about to graduate high school and i can't stop thinking about the influence ingrid michaelson has had on me through my teenage years. she was the first artist i discovered on my own and whose music i bought with my own money and things like that. it's because of her music that i discovered all the other music i like and decided to learn to play ukulele and guitar, and to write songs. and this song in particular moved me so much. i'm so grateful for her.

In a world filled with people who never understood, this was the only thing that kept me hanging on. You breathed life back into me.
