I find myself talking about "depressing" subjects and people seem to think I'm extremely negative. Am I not allowed to discuss what I spend a lot of my time thinking about? I think about everything. Not having an awareness of the dark can dim the light.

I've always been baffled going through a department store and I don't understand why people have no problem buying mediocre to crappy things, and confusion that most people find validation in conforming to mediocrity. From very little, I never understood why people tend to de-value most things, while exaggerating the value of their own personal choices.

@@douggodsoe I'm not sure if that's true. It seems plenty of people are content with either owning a lot of cheap items or a lot of expensive items. I agree, it’s definitely a blessing and a curse, but overall I am glad to be an INFJ. INTP might have been good too. One of the hardest INFJ things for me is having this third eye 👁 which can always sense when there is more to something than many realise. We see others blind mistakes and are glad we don’t go there, which partly explains why many of us are probably single.

When you write something down, there is a better chance to erase it or change it. But when you speak your words for all to hear, you're stuck at that moment. No possibilities for corrections or avoidance when you speak... unless your crowd is blind, mute, or deaf. And you're lucky if they are not paying you any attention. It's already hard enough finding the right words to use when expressing yourself or your opinions, and others may misinterpret your speech for something else. Like being offended by your honesty because they think you are just being cruel or offensive. I think people prefer lies rather then honesty... how sad.

Now that you're mature (as I am) as an INFJ you should understand/ realize we can't fix stupid, we're NOT God, we can't help or cure the mentally ill, we can pray for them.. As you can see from living decade, after decade, after decade, people have to help themselves.. Our default is empathetic, compassionate, caring and loving but all that does is? invite the Narcissistic people, the users, the takers, the hateful people.. That's NOT cynical, it's just fact.. I know I had a Narcissistic person tell me, you shouldn't be so nice, people really think nice people are stupid..

9 hit hard. I had a job that was high conflict all the time. Nothing but fighting around me and I use to hide in the bathroom or snuck around the building like a ninja. I got so good at being swift that had accidentally scared ppl. I'm like the mysterious behind the scenes chick. When was away from that environment I was good and Was me and the flowers (worked in greenhouse for watering plants.) I loved that part. What I didnt like was being barked at like an animal or how stressed myself and ppl were around me were. It got to a point where I accidentally scared my boss for being honest while losing my cool. He never messed with me after that and if I saw him trying to go for one of the other employees i'd shoot that mom eye look. He would avoid me at times, too. lol. That's good. I don't mind being alone and it's quite refreshing. Less bs in my vibes and the easier I can think or not. Sometimes i'd just go blank and just be. Look at flowers, the colors, shapes, are they furry, pokey, smooth. I'd admire the beauty of nature and watch bees and hummingbirds fly around all day long. The sparrows making a nest at the peak on the facing greenhouse and fly in and out. Then, i'd have coworkers coming to me with issues and how they would rather come to me instead of the boss. Why me? Im a nobody who runs from crap. I don't have many friends and keep to myself. I mean barnes and noble's a hang out and I, lol, and pretend to be Belle and be like " look at all the crap i can read!" I digress. Back to story...I'd go home every day and be a bobble head. Stressed and staring at a wall exhausted. Barely wanted to eat would be so tired. Days off were charge days and never got anything done but sleep. Go back feeling ok and feel dead after my 1st hr there from the crap. Jobs sometimes are like soul sucking demons. I felt like I hit the grip stress stage and felt was just going to go, at one point. Like im a sim..dur..durr. aggitated, snappy, wanted to be alone, depressed, feeling smothered. The ahhhhhhhhh was brewing. I should have never got to that point of ahh cuz when ya blow...ya blow. Ive been told many of times I get scary when angry. I dont do that often but when you push to that point of ok. Its on! Its over! It's scary because I get brutally honest. And years of saved up arsenal you've done is being rawred right back at ya. Not proud and its the darkside of the infj. I apparently wrote a short story....sorry to whom reads this.

@jamie neace - I totally feel you on that. I have this roommate who has no sense of boundaries. Goes through my shit, changes the layout of the entire apartment EVERYTIME me and the BF go out of town. Intermingles the unfixed boy and girl cats (2month wait list to spay and neuter bc of covid), now I have 15 cats. Breaks everything she touches, and doesn’t know that most of the cleaners I have in the house are concentrated. To be used 3oz/gallon of water. I love her dearly, but every thing she does undermines my routine and ways of handling the household. I’ll spend an entire day cleaning the house, only to come back to the bathroom and kitchen looking like an utter nightmare...and all of my cleaners empty. It’s so stressful. Also every time I am about to make the BF tell her she needs to go, she’ll do something that appears to be extremely thoughtful and sweet. The problem is I totally know she is manipulating me. I just wish the bf would play “bad cop” a little better, about how she keeps triggering me! Because if I have to say something, it’s not going to end well. I don’t want to have to go there, but I feel it coming. She thinks he is an asshole, so it doesn’t matter if he lectured her. But we have always gotten along really well, our dynamic is different. I don’t like being the bad guy, but at the same time he’s told her a thousand times not do touch my shit, and to stop moving our fucking furniture around. The fact that I even have to coerce my boyfriend to reiterate to her that is not fucking cool, and that I put stuff certain ways for a reason, it goes in on ear and out the other. I hate having to repeat myself, bc as an INFJ, it is my nature to over explain in the beginning, so there is no pretending to not know something will trigger me. I feel like it’s wicked disrespectful that she does it anyway. I feel like it’s a big “fuck you”. Can anyone relate, or am I just a crybaby bitch?

On beauty, most people find beauty in goods that are trendy. I find myself being attracted to the same items but find practicality more beautiful if it's the style or color that i find works with my overall concept. A black scarf that is warm and the right length works. It doesn't matter if it comes from Walmart or Neiman Marcus. The goal is to wear a scarf that is warm and black and matches the pupose i bought it for. Minimalists are also very practical and don't feel the need to buy things just for social status or explain themselves to others to justify why they do things the way they do them..

@@oliverqueen7260 Not really facts. Procrastination is needed to boost creativity and can provide rest we didn't know we needed. This is especially true if you tried to rest when you were "supposed to" but didn't obtain as much rest as was needed. A good amount of procrastination can actually make the later work more efficient. The problem is if you only procrastinate or do it too much. That obviously leads to work not getting done or getting done badly. Only working or working too much can lead to stress and mental strain which can also cause the work to get done badly. It's all about flexibility and taking care of yourself.

What's everyones music tastes? :) I love any sort of calm, melancholic music.. namely genres such as shoegaze, dream pop, noise pop, folk metal. Bands such as My Bloody Valentine (loud and mystical) Slowdive (calm, melancholic, introspective, soothing, atmospheric) Agalloch (Introspective, bone chilling, atmospheric) The Cure (Magical, loving, soothing) Many more but those are some of my favourites :)

@josh - DMB, Beatles, & Jamiroquai are my favorites. Coldplay, Lincoln Park, or Adel when I need a good cry, or just release some emotional stress, Kanye (the pre douchbag years - late registration, college dropout, and graduation) and Jay-Z, when I feel like rhyming in the car...by myself, because I have something to say, but know one is getting it at the time, so I rap vent...uh, cuz I’m a bad ass, that cares to much.👀 oh and when I’m happy, disco and 70’s rock music.

@@lovernothater5659 Whereas INFJ, we don't care to be rare. Even if people want to be INFJ, they can't, we can"t change our personality, we can't change our functions order. Being like that, caused me a lot of bad memories. And until I discovered I was INFJ 6 month ago, I really didn't know who I am, what I want, what to do, and why. People think it is good to be INFJ, yes maybe, but they don't know how it is to have Extroverted sensing (Se) on inferior function, it clearly don't help me during my childhood and adolescence, and again sometimes now. As if my place was not in this world. Before I know I was INFJ, and learning deeply MBTI, my past life was like an unfinished puzzle. They can't know or feel what it is to be ignored and missunderstood by the most of people including family. There is no good or bad personality. All personality have strenghts and weakenesses. All personalities are useful. Videos about INFJ help us a lot, cause during all my life, I didn't know how to describe myself, was always "I don't know". With theses videos, we can finally put words on what we really are. It just save our lifes, and really help us. *Frank James* old video helped me a lot to understand and define myself and all my past life. Take care of yourself and of your mental health. We are more prone to anxiety, and I wonder if maybe I live with anxiety since the beginning.
