Frank James Yea Frank but what if we respond positively to other types that have similar aspects to INFJ. I had another INFJ SAY I MIGHT BE INFP OR ENFP. Frank please do typology when we go grocery shopping. I’ve been told by somebody she will never go grocery shopping with me bc I have to read every label and find as much as I can that is non gmo and organic. Like I care anyway , lol.. Love doing research at the grocery store. I even punch in on my phone a particular item to see which is the better option. Thanks for hopefully reading this. You better. Ha ha. I wear something black everyday. It goes with anything.

Hi I'm an INFJ, just gonna ask if someone here, often talks to themselves when they're alone or even when they're with someone.. In my case, I talk a lot to myself whenever I go I percieve a lot of things happening in my life day by day, I make a scene in my head, and the only person I talk to, is myself.. it feels like I am just daydreaming and on that side of dream, I talk to myself and I talk a lot of different things that doesn't even happening in real life just an imagination. Its a really great feeling spending time alone by yourself just recieving a lot of things.. its kinda lonely but its fun

for me the distinctive infj things i relate to most are - knowing how a person thinks and feels - the constant hunger for purpose - unknowingly changing the way you behave depending on who you're with so you get along with them best/have least conflict - being contradictory to previous point and striving for authenticity/hating acts and small talk - infj shut down

  • @songbirdforjesus2381

    @songbirdforjesus2381

    4 жыл бұрын

Yes, I hate small talk to the point that if it's not deep I'm out of here. My husband brought me to a prayer meeting and it was so boring I never went back. The leader asked my husband why I never came back after 2x,, so my wonderful husband told him what I said oh, that it was boring! But I don't care that's how I feel. Get on the stick come on people liven and up this is so monotone this is so surface go deep go deep dive dive. But you know the leader took it to heart and so did my husband so you could say I am a catalyst for change because I am honest at times when I don't give a crap! When you're almost 70 you get that way. look, I have one foot in the grave I don't have time for this The meeting is changing can I might go check it out if it stays that way.

10 ways to know if your an INFJ (simplified somewhat version) 1. Love of learning and realizing that there is not enough time to learn everything you want to know 2. Observations in the details Do you find yourself listening to a conversation with someone and bookmarking certain details only to surprise them much later on with something helpful based on your prior interaction 3. Creative or love of all types of creative expression. 4 Often quiet and reserved until you are relaxed around those individuals and than you get comments about how talkative of a person you are. 5. High moral standards especial when injustice is involved. 6 You give more of yourself than other will ever be able to give back to you( although you appreciate their effort)because while most people work with surface presentation of an individual you are able to understand them deeply with just a little interaction 7. Eating alone, seeing a movie alone or any other activities by yourself doesn't make you feel like a loser but rather energizs and keeps you happy because you enjoy the alone time. 8. People will tell you so many personal details about themselves even if you are strangers and they are just meeting you. 9 Being able to sense and feel emotions is a real issue INFJ deal with 10. An INFJ will know if they are truly one because of the love of learning will research this subject to death, feel like someone finally get me after listening to all infj description and be able to self improve because they finally understand that their odd nature is a gift.

Number 4 is how I am exactly. I am pretty reserved and quiet in public but once I get in my comfort zone and I get to know people I get real talkative. A lot of my friends think of me as an extrovert because they are used to how I am with them in private it is so pronounced. They don't get it until they see me out in a crowd or in a large public setting, when I get real quiet and I become unreadable and reserved. It is a night and day difference and if they knew what I felt inside they would see things very different. 😂😂😂 I can relate to all of the things you wrote but that one is literally me. I am definitely a ambivert or extroverted introvert too. I have only known one person who was like that in such an extreme way and he was worse than I was about it. Now I think he was likely an INFJ and that is why we hit it off and made such good friends.

I can relate to all here, kudos! The point about learning hits me hard - it often makes me feel discouraged in life as I always feel that I'm not healthy/smart/sharp enough to learn as much as I need to. I guess this is the perfectionism speaking to a certain degree, and fear of missing out/not being prepared enought/not reaching full potential/etc.

To me finding out that I'm an INFJ was a relief. I had thought that there was something wrong with me, but it was just the way my mind works. But I don't primaly or secondarely identify myself through my type, like I don't do through my diagnoses. They just help explain some aspects of me, not define me as a whole. INFJs (and other types) as a group are quite diverse punch of people, despite having interesting things in common.

The best thing an INFJ can do is to know himself, that saves you a lot of suffering, understand the mechanisms that your mind uses and observe them before reacting. It helped me a lot to study psychology, I thought I was crazy or there was something wrong with me but it is only my mind that works like that and I like it, it has its advantages although we are very difficult to understand for others. We are contradictory, artistic, profound, spiritual but rational.

So i‘m gonna state some facts about myself i learned being an INFJ -if someone needs comfort or has a problem, i tend to try to solve their problem and comfort them at the same time. does that make any sense? i tend to try to solve their problem more though -i‘m really critical about myself and perfectionistic. if i ask other for their opinion and they say it‘s great, i‘m still like „yeah it is... but“ and i seek for conformation for my skills and things i do -i always feel like an outcast, when i‘m with my friends lately, as we are not on the same level, as they could not understand me -i really like animals more than humans -i judge people too early. Like i see a person and i don‘t like him/her even though we never met before or we never talked with each other and she done nothing wrong -i hate it if it‘s messy. But if i under great stress or being creative i tend to make my workplace messy and later on i get a collapse because everything is bothering me -if i hate someone, i hate him so much. I always need to have so much self control, or i‘m gonna commit murder -i don‘t forgive. never. ever. i cover it up and try to act friendly, but on the inside i‘m „what if she/he does if again and hurt me again“ edit: hey guys, thanks for you reply’s! by not forgiving i mean that i forgive that person for the most part but i don‘t forget it! and btw guys even if you relate to all of this, i doesn’t mean you an infj, please look into the functions ^^

And (I’m not even exaggerating) EVERY test showed a different result every time. Jees, several of them showed I’m an extrovert. We laughed so much with an imaginary friend of mine. I guess the most important thing to believe in is your own feeling about yourself. Don’t let others (especially random online tests) define you if you don’t feel like their definition is true at all. The thing is it is really all about self improvement and being aware of your weakest points and sides and working on them to become a better version of yourself.

Exactly, the main purpose is to understand ourselves so we can focus on our strengths, work on our weaknesses and eventually find our place in the world, i.e. the role that is most fitting according to our personality. And the very ultimate goal is to be happy. Using MBTI just to feed one's ego is not exactly the best way to find happiness imo. Then you brought another good point, it's easy for Fe-users to be influenced by others' opinions. Actually, I sort of relate with the descriptions of all IN types. I mostly get TP but I realize I'm more of a very introverted FJ.

Quite the usual type from my perspective. I'm married to an INFJ and personally know three other INFJ's. Much like all other types, there are always some variance since it is impossible to exactly replicate the life experiences exactly of each individual, but there are two common factors that I have discovered amongst all four: the ability to mediate between logic and emotion effectively and knowing exactly how to push or guide someone in a direction without directly providing the answers. Great upload, FJ.

INFJ's feel the need to put on a facade and appear a certain way in front of others. (E.g I look up to types who look like they're always having fun all the time and I do my best to replicate that and show that I am that to the public) INFP's value their own personal values and preserving their identity matters a lot to them. That's why they love to invest in anything that could help express their inner self (e.g acting, art, literature)

If we are healthy we take extreme ownership - if we don’t we can become dark and absorbed into our inner world..we have to be careful we exist in two worlds...always!

@@carieyoung1111 I'm an INFJ as well and while art, theater, literature can be an authentic interest for any type (though yeah, I'd say maybe there's more of a predisposition for xNFxs) I think it ws just an example chosen to emphasize the difference between INFPs' Fi and INFJ's Fe. That difference is very real. All types can be honest or put on a façade, all types can really act in any certain way if it's necessary, but MBTI is about preference and instinct, at its core, what functions (Ni/e, Fi/e, Ti/e, Si/e) people prioritize in using. Nothing holds up or is untrue 100% of the time for any one type, in other words. This being said, however, I've found cognitive functions and function stacks (which ones your type uses) to be one of the most consistent and clear things about MBTI in terms of differences between types. Fi-doms like INFP value preserving, defining, expressing their own identity far more than any type. Being authentic is important to them, but it's also more personal since it's introverted. The façade an INFP might put on would be more protective than an INFJ's. An INFJ may be reserved too, but it doesn't often stem so strongly from concern over vulnerability. Personally, I'd say it's more strategic and comfortable. I want to understand someone well first. I want to adapt and often mirror people's emotions not to be inauthentic, but because it helps me understand them better, and it helps put everyone (including myself) more at ease. I don't like disagreeing with a group or someone I care about, but if I have to, I'll try to do it tactfully. Sometimes I'm prone to sugarcoating things because of this, but my friends know. The point is, if not the behaviors themselves, at least the motivations for these behaviors, are not very Fi. Fe is more "How can I situate myself in regards to how everyone's feeling, how they are? This will help me understand my own feelings and where I stand better. " vs. Fi's "I know how I'm feeling and who I am. What's the best way I can express this to everyone else, who can support my authentic self the best?"

The only people i can connect the most, is my mom. And same goes with spontaneity, i get very proud of myself when i notice that i’ve let myself do something without lots of planning and forethought (though that’s very rare because i dream up most situations and rehearse for many things that could possibly happen so i can prepare and appear more spontaneous). but when something catches me off guard, and i don’t close myself off to it it’s like “wow i’m just such a go with the flow person, i’m so chill😎”. the things that aren’t the default are the things that stand out! that’s why we can’t just ask people what kind of person they think they are, well, we can, but also observing separately from that is super important!

I have been confused between INFJ and INFP ever since I learnt about MBTI. I took the test for Fun a couple of years ago and I got INFP. Learning about INFP personality type, I found it so similar to my personality and continued to believe that I am an INFP till the end of last year when I decided to take the test again. This time it was INFJ and I was confused but realised that quite a lot of it is true for me, I was never as emotional as INFPs are described to be. Since that time, I decided to study more about this typology and that freaking confused me even more as both INFP and INFJ describe me, take half the characteristics of an INFP and half of INFJ and its me, lol. Whenever I retake tests its always 45-55 between the P and J. They say one can't be an INFJ and an INFP at the same time so I hope this video helps.

She is really emotional and sensitive, it doesn't take much to make her cry while I have never cried in public. That's why I can't accept that I might be an INFP.

Mihi Yoon INFP is literally the cutest personality there is and they live in this dream world of where everything is wonderful and everyone is wonderful. INFJ on the other hand are very real and know when someone is acting just wrong. We also mirror other personalities so you may feel that you are an INFP but you are actually an INFJ. Also INFJ are always in our heads analyzing to the point where it gives us anxiety.

Benny Boy sorry to hear that about you, but I don’t necessarily think the personality type is attached to your circumstances- I don’t think it’s inherited necessarily. I would wanna know if the majority of INFJs struggle with what you struggle with to determine if what you’re saying is accurate. I’m sure what you’re unfortunately struggling with applies to other personality types too

@@bennyboy2079 Hey, mate, this personality thingy just shows preference, does not show proficiency. You can prefer to read people, and be bad at it, or good.. You can be awesomely picky about choosing a partner, and be lucky enough that circumstances allow you to marry at your 20s, or be 40 and still looking. Also, you can be mostly a type and still manage to develop other abilities... So it's not always straightforward... The loneliness thing for one, isn't necessarily an INFJ thing. It's just that you don't yet seem to have developed an efficient system to integrate yourself socially enough not to feel lonely and still have the time alone that you need to not feel exhausted. Also, there are types of people that INFJs would be delighted to spend a large amount of time with, and maybe you simply haven't come across one of those. Lastly, I wish you do find someone you can spend life with though. But having a "proper" relationship is an investment of time, energy, resources... the list is infinite. And sometimes, we're just not willing to give up so much, or change ourselves enough to enable one to happen. Like, I don't know what happened with your past relationships, but no relationship should ever be seen it as something you "prefer" (in the context of what is easiest and comes more naturally to a person), because no matter your type, it will always be something that, ideally, will make you get out of your comfort zone, and go through pains, and open yourself up to the possibility of hurt. At any rate, best of luck on your journey man! P.S.: If you still, somehow, got to this end of the internet, is in that age and gender group, and don't know who Jordan B. Peterson is... gee look him up, specially his 12 Rules for Life book. If you have, like, c'mon man, that stuff is textbook "lobster" 101... lol

I did a huge number of different tests many years ago and I was inevitably INFJ or, slightly less often, INTJ. It was interesting to see which of my responses made a difference to the score, and these were to questions which actually come up in real life very often, which always put me in a dilemma.
