The FX is timeless...look more classy as time goes by.

Still looks hot even today! Always loved Infiniti 🎉

I own the 50s model and its not that bad on fuel and I live in europe where gas prices are a bitch

The leather and design of the seats is what she should have said because the seats hug you in corners

that is why i love this car. Not another ML or Q7 on the street. Its a rare car with a unique style

needs a serious upgrade, we had a 2012 FX35 and the QX70 is still the exact same

I agree with you well said, I had 2007 FX35, and pretty all the system are the same nothing changed since 14 years. need serious upgrade...

I've owned 2 FXs within the last 12 years. These are one of the best performance/handling vehicles around with minimum maintenance. Super reliable!!!! Recently switched to ML350. Although ML is very nice but the it does not compare with the Infinity when it comes to performance.

We have owned a 2012 infiniti fx30ds for 2 years now in the UK. Our infiniti has been nothing short of amazing. Bomb proof reliability, superb build quality. For a car that weighs over 2 tons,incredibly quick. It does 30 mpg and the specification ,4wd,4wheel steering 360 cameras, heated and cooled seats.etc. The exclusivity, we have had range rover velar owners merc,bmw etc all looking over and having conversations about what an amazing looking 4x4. The most amazing headturner. Supremely comfortable. Also listen to the owner reviews not the motoring press. The owners give a completely different story. A fantastic brand.

i hope this is my first car, when i was 6 years old and obsessed with cars my dad used to take me to nearby car dealerships (porsche,mercedes, range rover, and infiniti. My dad took me to infiniti and i sat in the fx, i loved it. It had a tv in the back that i could hook my " ipod " or " nintendo" to, as the dealer said. I told myself i would get it one day. My family is way better off, i have a lot of money spent. This car has a lot of sentimental value to me, and i cant wait to get a used one.

My ultimate Dreamcar!!! I love it!!!!

I have a 2015 QX70 and a nissan 350z , i love the QX70 because it corners very compared to other suvs i have driven, the engine is loads of fun and hitting over 6k rpm will push you into your seat. I needed a big car for the newborn and didnt want to get a minivan so this was my perfect choice

How many times for going to gas station infinity fx35 v6 and how much fuel gasoline consumption?

Someone explain when she says 'the riding is a bit firm'; does this mean if there are bumps in the road and gravel on the tar it won't be felt by the driver?

Rare car, nice you've reviewed it :) If I could choose between Cayenne Turbo and FX, I'd go for this!

The car she's driving on the review has the FX50 nameplate on the back, but nissan just changed the name of this car when they decided to give the whole lineup a new name starting with Q. So, when the sedan Q50 arrived, this car became QX70. And then the carbuyer channel, just changed the name on the video title as well.

The FX/QX70 (S51) is segment D, although it measures 4,854 mm, which positions it among the largest; Let's not forget that in its main US market, vehicles are larger on average than European ones. Of course, its direct rival from Porsche is the Macan (95B). The Cayenne has always been the E segment, including the one mentioned (E2) in the video, its Infiniti equivalent is JX, renamed QX60. Just like Touareg and Murano.

Looks amazing, sporty, luxurious and much more reliable than the German competitors which break down a lot and are very expensive to fix. Owning an Infinity makes you sleep well at night!

Stunning looking car.

There's a lot to like about the FX if you don't need a big family hauler but still want an SUV. I almost pulled the trigger on it myself but I couldn't get over the stiff ride. Also the infiniti 7 speed is pretty annoying unless you drive it like you stole it. Also like others have said in a slightly indirect way, Rebecca is seriously gorgeous.

Good critical review, covered everything. All I am missing and this is with all the reviews from Carbuyer channel which is maintaining costs per car. I think CarBuyer will be on a different level if they can close it with road tax and maintaining costs.

Really a design that you love or hate. I love it, and only after seeing this video could I appreciate just how advanced the design is. I really love it. PS this car drive's wonderfully with the petrol engine, so don't get the diesel. Pay the extra tax, it's totally worth it.

Mostly I was looking at the missy instead at the car, shame on me... I love Infiniti - most reliable vehicles and the best goodies for the money. I am a happy owner of M45x and G37X for many years - not even a single issue! And I love that gorgeous, superb sexy missy, going to watch it again... Switching to M56X soon. Cheers Rebecca!

Is QX are the same as FX?

I like how the FX was styled for its purpose. The X6 has that awkward mix of faux off roader and coupe styling , blended together awkwardly. This though doesn't pretend to have any off roading presence , its simply a beautifully designed car. Yes it may not be overly attractive, but its a flowing design.

I bought the FX 50 S. This review is fair but the 0-60 performance of the 390 bhp V8 is 5.7 seconds, although Rebecca says the petrol engine does it in 'under 7 seconds'. Perhaps she meant the 3.7 litre petrol which has only six cylinders. Anyway, I'd recommend the FX to anyone thinking of buying an X5 or X6 for similar money. Of course the Cayenne Turbo is quicker but twice the price.

Finally an Infiniti that's well proportioned and doesn't look deformed.

Yes, the Lexus is actually more comfortable than the MDX. That is true, as my parents also own a Lexus. Though the FX is far from a Sports Car / Utility Vehicle. It has hardly the room of the MDX or RX, and although has very competent engine options, a better alternative would be an ML550, Porsche Cayenne, or Volvo XC60R or XC90R. Let me also point out that my dad has owned his MDX since 05 and has never had an issue with his MDX either. When I say that , I do mean it.

I don't know what aspect of 'looks' you were referring to, but I think the exterior is very handsome, even better looking than the Cayenne.

I like how they've made an effort with the exterior design, however if it's not your thing then a likely alternative is the more practical Hyundai Santa Fe.

I'm very late here, but do you still own it? I am looking to replace my bmw x3 with fx30d. I know it's platform is pretty reliable, but that 3l Renault-Nissan engine is pretty rare, and I'm not sure how well it did. I know it returns average around 30-32 mpg in FX, which is less than equivalent 3l diesel audi or bmw, then again better to spend somewhat more on fuel, rather than repairing it.

Super car. I had previous version 2003 4.5 333 hp and tend to think that it worth it's many and is more reliable than BMW x5 or MB ML

One of the best looking SUV's seriously let down by its thirsty engines. I know a couple people who sold their FX's because of blackholes in its fuel tank

Just because it started something off doesn't mean it's the best - for example, the worlds first car was the Daimler-Benz Patent Motor Car, but cars now are so much better! Being first doesn't mean best!

why do you need a push button on the car boot door that makes the boot door close automatically? Surely you can conjure up the strength to close the boot door yourself...

If it were a trend at all. LED's are here to stay and DLR are becoming mandatory in many countries. It's the logic evolution and I won't spend time naming about half a dozen reasons for this when compared to old halogen lamps. Another different story is the way designers set up this sort of lighting, which it can be seamless and elegant, bizarre or plain tacky.

You don't even mention the engine on this vehicle o.O It's weird the fact that recent Infiniti's don't feature LED DRLs other than the custom made Vettel Edition.

Went for a drive, when I was searching for a SUV - there were 3 basic problems. Boot - useless for that size of car as a family car. Wheels and tyres and running cost of it really problematic. Then the ride - part from it comes from the sporty wheels and tires but most of it comes from being heavy and sporty and it is just plain uncomfortable. Turned away and bought something else. Nice thing to look at though.
