Ive been looking for a g37 6mt sedan for a while now and i cant seem to find one they must be super rare.

Until the VR engines stop ripping belts, blowing turbos, and leaking fluids (from the block, not even the seals), the ECU gets unmarried from the rest of the car so tuners will actually be willing to touch them, and the technology inside is updated beyond 2010, the g37 with a stillen supercharger is more reliable, puts down 100 more horsepower than the red sport, and will run you a lot less money.

We have a winner, spot on with your comment. G37 engine is one of a kind and super reliable, newer engines have many problems.

The RS 400 is a great car, I just grabbed an AWD model 3 weeks ago and love it. I had tried out BMW 340i, Jaguar XE R-Sport, and Lexus RC350 F-sport, but chose the Infiniti in the end.

I normally wouldn't comment but I think you did a good job and should make more videos. Very informative and to the point. I own a G37 and love it. I traded my BMW 328i for it! That should tell you something about the G37's.

Take the g37,it's cheaper and best of all :it's a MANUAL

Do more videos like these please. Gives us at least a small view of things other than specs on paper. Also side by side comparisons on looks/interiors 👍

I'd pick the G37 6MT 100%

The Rays wheels on the old G35 were forged, but the Enkies on the G37 were not. So "forged lightweight wheels" is a bit of a stretch. Rotary Forged Forged. Also, there was no "suspension package", there were Tokico dampers on the RWD Sport Package, with summer only tires, and a viscous limited slip rear differential containing rear gears with a 3.692 final drive ratio... that was it. And I didn't hear reference to the close ratio steering rack only found in the RWD Sport Package. You also neglected to point out that the 6MT wasn't actually an "option", it was an entirely separate sub-model, as in Journey, AWD, and 6MT. And you made it sound like it was an easily available find, when the reality was that the 6MT Sedan was incredibly rare, even when new. All in all, this was a reasonable comparison and a good video, just too dealership fluffy.

I really enjoyed your video, very informative. Coming from a purist, I love the power of the Q50, love the manual transmission of the G37s, love the reliability of the G37 normally aspirated engine, and love the styling of the new Q50. I am really torn between the two, since I don't want a car that the style hasn't really changed since 2007, for the styling of the Q50 who just came out in 2013. The G37 engine is award winning and super reliable, and as you said, receiving some trade ins that have 200k plus miles on them. Would the Q50 run for 200k miles with the new engine and especially with turbos? Current owner of 05' G35 sedan 110k miles, and 15' QX60 15k miles.

I feel like if maintained properly, as with any turbo car, it will last a good amount. The main thing with turbo cars is people not letting the oil temperature rise before hitting full boost. Same with letting the turbo cool down before you shut the car off. The later isn't really a big issue in a stock modern car with modern technology, but you still have to be religious about oil changes and engine oil temp.

Robert Tadic Wow, been three years. Well currently I have a 2018 Q50S, and a 2018 QX60 for the wife. Very satisfied with both. Current mods on the Q50S is the Helmholtz sports exhaust from Infiniti. Long story short my G35 overheated on the freeway, towed by AAA and destroyed the steering and suspension. Got a payout and bought the Q50S.

Still wouldn’t mind having a 2005 to 2007 G35 for a car to take out on the track

Agreed. I'm inlove. Glad I found a manual sedan - fits the whole fam!

G37x has better handling. Electronic power steering is terrible.

Once Infiniti linked with Mercedes reliability hasn’t been nearly as good as the Gs.

I want the twin turbo engine in G37!

The low end power from the turbo makes it feel a lot quicker than the G. I would like to know how the 300hp version of this engine performs. I buy my cars used, and this is on the top of the list.

The 300-hp version is pretty quick, I think most people will find it has plenty of power. Too me it even feels faster than the old VQ37 equipped Q50 with 328-hp. The Turbo's really help improving the mid-range power and the engine is a lot smoother too than the VQ37 which some said was a bit course. The VQ37 is still a great engine, it has a great durability track record, it just starts to show its age when compared to the new VR30.

@@infinitioftacoma1 it may feel quicker due to more torque but its actually slower than the 3.7. The g37s sedan 6speed is fast up top especially with good mods.

i do not see performance comparison?

Love everything but no stick shift is a deal breaker

2012 was the last year for a manual transmission in the infiniti g37s 6mt...go do your homework!

The car in the video is a 2013 G37 Sedan with a manual transmission. We are a new INFINITI store we know these cars pretty well.

I stand corrected, After some further research I see that I was wrong. I want to know from you when the 6 speed manual trans ended for the g37 sedan.
