    Long-term subscriber here who loves your videos! I also still own and absolutely love my modified 2015 INFINITI Q50 3.7 Premium RWD w/Navigation... My Q50 has other minor options like a spare tire pkg, Q50 logo'd & carpeted floor mats + Q50 logo'd rubber floor mats for the winter, along with a nice carpeted & logo'd trunk mat... Lastly, it has a first aid kit & the cool LED glowing lights under the car when I unlock the it. Anyway, I have to say, and everyone who sits in my Q50 agrees with me... The leatherette seats are some of the most comfortable seats we ever sat in! Even my brother who also owns a slightly better optioned 2015 Q50 3.7 Premium, but AWD + the 19" wheel & tire pkg. Plus, his Q50 has the leather non-sport seats... He says my leatherette seats are softer and way more comfortable than his leather seats. He actually wants my seats in his car lol! The leatherette doesn't crack or age like leatherette as well. I was wondering if you noticed the same thing? I know the RS400 seats are more comfortable than the non-sport leather seats. Sorry for the long comment. Keep up the great work! -Chris

    QX50 turned out to be another extremely disappointing model for us Inifiniti fans :( what made FX35/37/50/QX70 so special was that amazing reliable, powerful, fun, proven and trusted, bulletproof 3.5/3.7V6 and AT transmission. How a weak and boring turbo4 peered up with notoriously unreliable and boring CVT is even remotely considered a replacement is mind blowing! not to mention discontinuation of Q60(WHY?!?!) and going all electric?! they should have fired the CEO and all the execs for ruining Infiniti brand! nobody in this sector is interested in EVs, the power grid is not ready , they are boring yet super expensive. I wish we had a true G37 and Q60 successors that had even more horsepower and technologies than M340i, S5 or TLX TypeS. Inifniti was all of that: reliable, powerful, gorgeous and very high tech. we have lost all of it :(

    I love to buy QX60. My concern is about the transmission problem. How did you trust 2014 model?

  • @infinitioftacoma1
    @infinitioftacoma111 күн бұрын

    We have our techs connect their computer to the vehicle and look for any stored transmission codes. If you are looking to buy an older one, I would have it road tested and inspected by a Nissan or INFINITI Certified tech before you buy. INFINITI also did a warranty extension on specific QX60s to cover the CVT transmission past the normal powertrain warranty. If you get it inspected by a Nissan or INFINITI service department, they can also look up the service history and see if the CVT was already replaced. The CVT is a common issue on these and can be very expensive, like $12k, to get a new transmission.

  • @infinitioftacoma1

    There is a replacement coming, it will probably be fully electric. INFINITI is keeping the current Q50 in production until its replacement is ready. It has had a long product cycle, about 10 years since it came out in 2014. But it is an amazing vehicle with serious sports car pedigree being built on the same platform as the Nissan Z and using the ATTESA all-wheel drive system. Its replacement will be very different. For people looking for a great analog sport sedan the Q50 is one of the best around, versus a high-tech EV like a Model 3 Peformance, which is a great car, but its not for everyone.

    Thinking about buying one soon is there any worry about teslas breaking down very nervous of battery going bad and being out thousands of dollars

  • @infinitioftacoma1
    @infinitioftacoma124 күн бұрын

    The failure rate on Tesla batteries is .03% on Tesla’s models 2016 and newer. The earlier Tesla’s seemed to have a higher failure rate. The Model S is more complex than the 3 or Y, having features like an air suspension and pop-out door handles. The air suspension can cost a few thousand to fix if it goes bad and the pop-out door handles about $400 and they are common issues on the S. I would recommend getting a newer 3 or Y that has warranty if you are worried about paying for repairs. The battery and drive units on the 3 and Y generally have an 8-year 120k mile warranty. The older S and X have an unlimited mile warranty on battery and drive units.

    I wrote the description. I am a used car manager, not a professional content creator. I usually only have enough time to do these videos in one take. Also, there are very few dealerships that have any of their employees, let alone the used car manger, that does individual video walk arounds on their inventory, I’m one of the only ones. If I had more time to focus on content creating, rather than running a used car department maybe the quality would be better for you. Thanks for watching!

  • @infinitioftacoma1
    @infinitioftacoma129 күн бұрын

    @@MahA-pr7kr Yes, recent research has shown that with about 150-200k miles most Tesla batteries lose about 10-15% capacity. That still fairs better than most gas-powered vehicles with that number of miles, because generally they start leaking oil and can develop other issues, where the EV just has less range. Tesla battery failure on 2016 models and newer is at .03% despite all the unfounded fear you hear in the media "what happens when your battery fails?" What happens when your engine fails? Thats expensive too, especially on a high-end car.
