    End mistake giving a dog a treat after not complying with a request, but I understand what she was trying to do is make the end a positive experience for the dog so I commend her in that regard. I would just wait a minute or 2 or just do a different command and then treat to end the session on a positive note.

    But we would also need to see how long the dog persists when they are both unrewarded in order to determine if it's related to inequality. It could just be that the dog loses interest when there's no food, which is my experience with dogs.

    lol... you do realise that Amazon, and many other companies like Atlassian for example, ran at a loss for 20 years straight... ANY MORON can set up a business that loses millions per year and eventually will become a monopoly because ALL other business, who (HAD TO MAKE PROFIT) were wiped out by the Mr Amazon, who was supplied with infinite amounts of money... The world is made By The Rich, For the Rich... ALL of this BS, about them starting 'poor' is total BS, because they need to sell books and movies, so they use the classic 'heroes journey' to make it appealing to the middle class... Check out Atlassian corp, AirBnB, DataDog, Uber, Lyft, SquareSpace, Many Pharams - ALL have not made a single cent in profit for the past 2 DECADES... Yet, their founders are Billionaires and live in mansion... YET, I have to pay back my shitty 'fake holiday loan' which I used for investing into a stock market when it was good... and I can NOT burrow more, till I repay my previous one... ANYONE can do what Amazon, Atlassian, Tesla did... as long as you are 'in the club' that gives you access to the money printer... so do NOT give me this Amazon Success Bull Sht!!!

    FAULTY TEST! The dog would lose interest and stop complying, even without seeing the other dog get rewards. All this shows is that the dog decided the human was unreliable - nothing to do with any sense of fairness or inequality. There are other experiments about how dogs understand pointing and stop responding to individuals who point at nothing, but continue to respond to trustworthy people and novel people with no reputation for being unreliable.

    You first teach them with treats but once learned and adapted a command will be followed once given w/o the expectation of immediate reward. A trained adult dog will follow a learned command dozens of times over. She did it three times before the dog stopped participating and laid down In exasperation. (And yes, dogs can be irritated) Dogs are intelligent, sentient beings. That live in family bonded hierarchical packs and work alongside humans in many complex tasks requiring obedience, attentiveness, and initiative. There’s nothing faulty about this test. They could have started with showing each dog alone, following a command repeatedly then moving to the inequality… but it’s unnecessary. We know how dogs behave bc we bred them to behave that way.

  • @zemtek420

    @zemtek420

    6 ай бұрын

    @@TinToeTimmyTime actually you are both right. This is definitely a faulty test and dogs do learn who is trustworthy and who is not. How ever you are absolutely correct dogs are very smart and are very intune with human emotion. I have been teaching dogs for over 30 years. My own Ruby Doo knows over 60 service dog commands, 20 objects and 5 rooms by name. A better way to perform this experiment is to one day give treats next day dont give treats and see how many times before that dog says screw it. Do this for a couple weeks for each dog. Now you will have a baseline for each dog for this part of the experiment in the video to actually show dogs do not like unequality.
