Nice camerawork Mr. Pruett , are you using an DJI Osmo ?
The silver Olds was 4 cylinder Quad 4 powered and the test track was the GM proving grounds in Arizona not TX.
any race car is a potential coffin on wheels
A.J. is a Texan, he's not a Yankee.
Yes Robin your so right about A.J. Foyt’s performance in his dirt car at Milwaukee when he finished 2nd. I was there, the packed house was crazy all day.... that’s when you qualified in the morning and raced in the afternoon. ...and Robin, if I remember correctly Foyt would have won the race had he not been forced to make a late stop for fuel. He had to refuel because of the car design difference. A great memory for sure.
WERE DID YOU FIND THIS PLACE?

Any reason why David Pearson's name is on the supposed Foyt "Daytona winner"?
Not to take anything away from AJ but, that Quad 4 Oldsmobile wasn't that fast. Callaway drove a 1988 Corvette, the Sledgehammer to the Transportation Research oval, 7.5 mile, in Ohio in October 1988 and went 254.76 mph, then drove the car back to Connecticut. John Lingenfelter was the driver.
