    I just wanted to say thank you so much for the fantastic tutorials, they are INCREDIBLE!! If I am honest I'm very new to C4D and can't always follow they all the way through (especially regarding the hierarchy system/menus (as they're quite small and difficult to see) but regardless I have learned SOOOO much!! You are the best dude!!

    Awesome stuff as always Mert! I wanted to ask you about the liquid inside the botlte. Most tutorials out there recommend that the liquid actually intersects the inner walls of the bottle. There's some technical explanation for it but here you actually avoided that, can you elaborate on that? thank you!

  • @polygonpen

    Thank you Jesus! I usually follow this method because it makes the middle part less distorted/refracted so that the label would be more visible. You can follow a different approach in different scenes or light setups, it all depends on project type.

    Thanks a lot! Do you create your "Advanced Bottle Modeling and Rendering in Cinema 4D" with Octane?

  • @polygonpen

    @polygonpen

    Thanks but I don't think I will do that, instead I will may do a complete new one on Octane.

    In the symmetry part at 8:11 it always lost the selection on two sides so I had to boost the tolerance in the symmetry hub to 7. Then it worked again. Edit: Ok, a little bit later the symmetry freaks out again. When I want to push the polygons out at 8:58. Don't know why. On two sides it works normal and on the other two sides it goes mad. Let's see if I can find out why. Edit 2: When I select the polygons of another side, it works normal😵‍💫???

  • @polygonpen

    It is buggy, I know, symmetry hub seems work better.

    Hi man, would you create Advanced Bottle Modeling tuto like you have on gumroad but with octane instead of redshift? I feel like there's no tutorial like that on youtube which fully explains details for bottle texturing in octane. Thanks!

  • @polygonpen

    @polygonpen

    9 ай бұрын

    Hi, you can apply the same methods I used in that tutorial to the Octane renderer. Octane and Redshift are quite similar.

    I'm Modo user, but also Plasticity starter/ Still wonder about glass thickness. Some software have built in thickness by default, some not. I just wonder how it should be resolved when building glass models. Adding liquid glass thickness is important, however when rendered it does not appear to be visible.

    If you want to be really good at motion graphics, I would say Cinema 4D is a great choice, also it is great for freelancing. Blender is also great, lots of learning material on youtube and it is free, plus it has its own render engine.
