Im confused how disconnect managed to make the points mesh with the curvature better, I thought disconnect disconnected the polygons from the mesh and made a seperate object.

Yes, it just disconnetcs the edges, it doesn't create a new object which makes it quiet fast to work with.
Shrink wrap will break the mole. What should I do?
Is there anywhere you would recommend for seamless bump maps etc for C4D please? Sorry if that's a dumb question but I'm really new to C4D. GREAT vid BTW, thank you!!

Yeah, you can join the Discord group, under the ''Textures'' channel, there are a few good websites to get tileable textures/materials.

Disconnects that selected polygon, making you have two objects in edit mode, even if there is only one in the hierarchy

They are both great, I personally love Octane but Redshift is getting more and more integrated into C4D.
