You're did a good job with your little speaking in bahasa Indonesia, it will help you feel more confidence and more comfortable to meet with a local people around Indonesia. as long as you can speak some words in bahasa Indonesia the local people all over Indonesia will be feel so embrace and they feel funny to meet a foreigner can speak in bahasa Indonesia. they will try to respon to you with their mixed language as well they will very excited to can reply of any your language in some of English word with their own dialect language . some of local people that used to speak with their mother tongue language means in traditional language as their daily life. so they are seldom using bahasa Indonesia. we are using our bahasa Indonesia when we are communicated with others local from different provinces because in every province they have their own dialect language that we used as our daily speaking.

kalau untuk membeli tiket kereta di pulau jawa sedikit susah, karena tiket sudah banyak di pesan online dari 45 hari sebelum hari keberangkatan. jadi memakai bus menjadi alternatif lain untuk pergi ke jakarta.

I'm 2 weeks late 😂. Hello Tasos, if you're reading this comment, i would like to answer your question about Grab drivers, why sometimes they don't wanna pick you up at your exact location. This gonna be a long reply 😂. Before the digital app is a thing, Indonesia already had motorcycle taxis system, known as 'Ojek/Ojeg'. This conventional Ojek usually consist a group of people that waiting for passengers on a spot, usually in front of an alley or housing complex, or public facilities. This group of Ojek usually made a 'organization' to show their existence and they also often build a 'base' (which often looks like a gazebo) to mark their 'territory'. The way it works is same like the GrabBike you just used. You approach them, then just mention your destination and the Ojek will give you the service fee, but you could bargain the price. Long story-short, after the digital app such as Grab and Go-Jek adapted this Ojek system to their app in Indonesia, it created pros and cons, mainly from conventional Ojek, because the modern Ojek have no limit, they can operate anywhere as long as the signal is there 😂. In the beginning, there was conflicts here and there all over Indonesia, due to territorial issues between the conventional and modern Ojek. As a result of that, many GrabBike drivers created 'organization' to protect their community, and to negotiate and make deals with local conventional Ojek group on many issues, including territories. As the result of that, there is unwritten rules amongst conventional Ojek and modern Ojek. One of the common rules that applied all over Indonesia is, the modern Ojek cannot pick passenger up on a certain distance from where the conventional Ojek gathers. That's why GrabBike drivers can't pick you up exactly at the front of Giwangan Terminal entrance, if he did that,who knows what could've happened to him 😂.

I come from Manado is the capital City of North Sulawesi province in eastern of Indonesia. as you know Indonesia majority muslims populations are located in the west of Indonesia, especially in Java province are majority populations are Muslim so you will find mosque are everywhere in Java Island. but other part of Indonesia especially in the eastern of Indonesia are majority populations are Christian especially in North Sulawesi Island you will find Church are everywhere in Manado, tomohon and tondano in the minahasa land. as well in Ambon maluku province, Papua, nusa tenggara timur, Toraja in south Sulawesi, batak in North sumatera . enjoy every moment in Indonesia and hopefully you have a good time traveling around Indonesia.

you are good with interacting with people. not many tourists are as friendly as you, it takes two to tango.

You can also travel by bus. Busses can be more convenient, there are sleeper bus too. But you really need to know which terminal you want to stop. In Jakarta alone there are 5 major terminals.

if you could not get direct train from jogja to jakarta, you could stop over in bandung. lempuyangan - kiara condong (ka kahuripan - Rp80k) or take (ka kutoarjo selatan Rp62K) kutoajo - kiara condong, take prameks from stasiun tugu at 6:30 (Rp8K) from bandung to jakarta there are alot travel posibility event there are shuttle bus to soekarno hatta airport nice channel 👍👍👍

In Java or other area in Indonesia, if you go by bus, its better that you go to the bus office. Not to the bus terminal. The bus terminal is not really good place. Train station is good place, its run by a good national company, but not with the bus station. In Indonesia, there are many bus company with their own office building. The office is not in the bus station. They have their own building. Better check google and you will find many recomendation... Good luck..

The explanation of grab driver dont go inside the bus station This bike taxi is caled ojek, and before internet is a thing the driver get their passenger offline, by being stationary around bus/train station, market etc, when internet widespread app like grab or GoJek, became a thing, alot of this ojek driver patnered and become grab/GoJek driver, but thereare aome who still doing it the old way So the online Ojek (grab/GoJek) they dont go inside the station because they dont want to meet the old school ojek driver, because well it can be rude, it like the online driver stealing possible passeger of the old school ojek driver, so they try to avoid that There's a turmoil between the online and old-school driver when grab/GoJek first launched
