I laughed a bit at "I don't know why you can only order two items at a time" followed swiftly by the table becoming very filled up once four or five items arrived.

I think you can only order 2 items at a time, because a 3rd plate would keep the arm from closing and block the main path for other orders, so it is designed for you to order 2 items, then the pause between orders lets you grab the plates before more shows up and making a blockage.

not sure about that since it is good for business if you can order more than 2 items, just that perhaps maximum 2 come first then probably a sensor to see if the items were picked up then the other items will come. The table size is small though so that is another possible issue ordering more in general.

@@ck3908 It may be good for business if you can order multiple things at the same time, though i‘ve seen a restaurant on tv, that especially only allowed a limited amount of orders, served in small amounts and with around 2 or 5 minutes forced waiting time in between orders, to minimize food waste.

The screen at the entrance displaying the wait time is a good idea. I wish more places in the U.S. had them, especially in areas with a bunch of restaurants. It would be nice to be able to just walk around and know how long the waits were.

@@bojyoohoo not as accurate, and the hostess almost always says 10-20 minutes so they don't lose you as a customer so you end up waiting 20 minutes, but you don't leave yet because you already wasted 20 minutes waiting and surely there will be a table soon right? RIGHT?!?! then you end up waiting 45 minutes to finally get a table. Also, I used to work at BJ's and was told by the manager to always say 10-20 minutes, but never more than 30 because that would discourage customers to dine somewhere else. An electronic system like in this case would be more reliable because it uses algorithms to figure out proper wait times and doesn't play games to make a profit.

Which I've learned not to mind because I don't get let down when the 20 minute mark passes. I just know machines tend to be better at estimation than human discretion is all. I'm not saying you're wrong/lying, it's just wrong in my reality.

I used to go to one in Westwood California but it closed a long time ago. That was back in the 80s. There’s only a couple others that I know about in California when I lived in LA. I would rather have it made fresh at the bar, rather than have it sitting on a conveyor belt running around. And that’s the way it is here, they just put it on the belt and it goes around till somebody takes it. I think there’s one in Pasadena that you can order it and they put it on the belt to send it to you, so that’s not so bad.

If you only remove the food on the belt, it's trickier, especially in a food coma. The staff will ask you to order off the screen the next time you visit. Plus, some hot food items they offer are much better fresh and hot. Dessert-wise, it's not the best to have melted ice cream either. I only order off the screen.

I ate at a rotary sushi bar last week. I bet the Japanese version is much better than here in North texas. Still not bad though. We have to order tea. I like these little places. Where's the robot delivery. I like those little guys/gals. I hope you are having fun. It's the holidays here in the states so happy holidays miss bacon. And remember. We enjoy the smiles.

Really enjoy your videos, I live in a very small town in the USA and don't have almost any places with interesting or cool sushi or Asian food options so I pretend I'm eating with you!

I thought the wasabi packets in the bowl were a tip jar and then they reached in and took a bill. 🙃 😂 ( Yeah, I forgot they generally don't tip in Japan.)

Restaurants cannot receive tips, but many restaurants and convenience stores have donation boxes that are sent to poor countries and disaster areas.
