The fact that I have memorized every one of these Indie games enhanced the quality so much. Seeing Madeline, Badeline and the Knight work together legitimately brought tears to my eyes. And seeing the magic talking flask and Shovel Knight was hysterical

Dude I love how frisk is being treated as a sort of secondary antagonist, It's so cool to see them acting in character. This is one of the few depictions of frisk that actually capture how emotionless they are during the genocide route, Never emoting only boxing.

Shovel Knights portrayal alongside Cuphead is probably one of my favorite things to see. They have great chemistry together and their fight was animated beautifully.

12:57 I like how it took a crap ton of “Real Knives” to defeat Frisk, because the of the “Real knife’s” attack stat being 99. Because if you checked Undyne the Undying’s stats” in the genocide route, she also has an attack stat of 99. If you hacked the game to get the heart locket early in that fight, Undyne’s attacks would literally do like 1 - 2 damage from what I remember.

Why is no one talking about how adorable Madeline and the Knight are. The only line spoken between them is the caption of "sup". Show don't tell. And the way Knight just bows to Madeline after saving him is great. Also I want to add that these two are the most wholesome in the cast of characters, one is smol and the other is Madeline.

Oh yeah btw I've never played Hollow Knight or Celeste before. Goes to show how good MORO's storytelling is.

The dialogue shared between Shovel knight and Cuphead was absolutely brilliant. I got plenty of good laughs from it. I would love to see The Beheaded from dead cells make an appearance in this series.

I will not believe in that. Madeline first help Knight, so he is now see her as ally. Knight do not have mind, thoughts, bounds. They are NOT friends, he just copying behaviour patterns like grace have a useful ally. That's how vessels work (Sorry for my grammars, i am russian and i am to lazy to use translators)

Also he befriends people like Hornet and most of the characters in the game not only that the Knight has friends like Grimmchild and those small spiders who help him fight while he explores Hollow Nest.

Im actually surprised and glad that Shovel Knight gets some love and recognition that he deserves. It's a super bonus that Will voiced him too.

Great work honestly. The music and soundtrack was actually my favourite part about this. It may be the musician in me but the absolute blends of the songs together were so good. I find it really cool you made Frisk the Undertale representative here. Every fan animation likes to soley focus on Sans, or in crossovers, make him the representative but you made the ACTUAL MAIN CHARACTER the one to be representing the game and I find that cool.

I love how when fighting the robot, some of Shovel Knight's attacks result in retro sounds and pixelated graphics, like his abilities struggle to be represented in the new world properly.

14:09 Everyone sees the Knight blocks the projectile. Hollow Knight players realizing that he just took the hit and lost one mask (a mask is the knights hit points. Meaning kinda like Minecrafts heart health points. But the Kinght has to manually regen his using soul which he gets from striking foes.

He didnt lose a mask, he activated baldurs shell for a split second. It blocks all damage forcertain amount of hits before being broken and is activated by essentialy focusing/healing.

MORØ is his own studio. Literally everything he makes is so high quality and this just episode just proves it. Not only was the animation and voice acting incredible, but it's also almost 20 minutes long! Thank you MORØ and everyone who worked on this and still working on more episodes to come.

This really reminds me of subspace emissary, where all the characters have their own separate plot lines that slowly condense together. I’m really looking forward to the future of this series!

Although the bow indicates emotion, which is not the best implication for the "hollow" aspect of the knight. If you've played HK you know what happened the last time a vessel showed emotion. Doesnt really matter for this series tho

Man, this animator is so underrated, he deserves recognition all over youtube like bigger animators who do such as Alan Becker, Gildedguy, JzBoy, Sr Pelo, Jaiden animations, etc… About the animation: it is an instant 10/10 it felt like i am watching a movie or some random TV series about indie game characters gathering up to fight against an all powerful army of drones and their leader who is more of an illusionist

One doubt really thinks that the drones are actually that drone and it seems vulnerable and underpowered, is it really a bad guy or a big evil

The pixel art at the start is amazing, love the animation and voice acting too, PHENOMAL JOB this deserves just as much popularity as minecraft. Now im just waiting for peppino to show up :)

Dude. This is so well made! One thing that i will never forget in this indie cross animation is that frisk just came here. And also no talking like in the original undertale game! Can't wait for a skeleton to judge a kid because of they're 19 Level.... Edit: 13:55 That is just an amazing detail! Never realize megalo strike back was here! Probably chara controlled frisk so that the music got triggered.

Seeing Hollow knight, Madeline, Frisk and Shovel knight being shown in modern animation is absolutely dream. Really excite to watch more of Indie Cross😊😁

As the only games I ever play are indie games, it makes me so happy to see this with all the indie games meeting up, I really liked the indie cross mod but a series, wow I am impressed, keep up the great work Moro!

cup head and shovel knight's interactions were hilarious.

I absolutely adore how the characters are represented here. I don't think Cuphead would be able to take as many hits as he did but I love how he acts here.

Also their health bars kinda work differently in this dimension since when Shovel Knight was first fighting the robot (at 2:30) he was shown to only have one piece of health left but he was still fine after getting a ton of damage by it and Cuphead (whose personality accurately reflects his Netflix cartoon).

This is so perfect! The animation, the voice work, the character writing, the humor, all amazing! And while there are characters I would like to see (like the messenger, for example) I’d be more than satisfied with just the cast shown in this episode

I have yet to watch this in full, having only skimmed through a few clips, but I REALLY hope Risk of Rain gets some representation in future episodes. Seeing the brothers of Petrichor V opposing each other or even being forced to work together against a greater force would be a sight to behold, not to mention potentially hearing Risk of Rain inspired music. Still, as an indie game lover, I really do think this is the coolest shit regardless of who makes it in. My personal favorite duo (trio?) is Madeline and the Knight- Hollow Knight is my favorite game of all time, and Celeste is really fun in its own right too. Seeing Madeline react to the Knight's silent mannerisms is really fun. Keep up the good work!

As someone whose favorite games are Hollow Knight and Celeste, I absolutely adore Knight and Madelline together. AND CAN I JUST SAY THE WAY THE KNIGHT BOWED AFTER MADELLINE SAVED THEM, AND THEN THE SMILE FROM MADELLINE, I JUST CAN'T, IT'S TOO CUTE AND TOO AWESOME. Astonishing job

If I HAD to make one nitpick about it, I'd say the lip syncing feels a bit *off* at some points. Other than that, I genuinely think this may be one of the best animations currently on youtube right now.

Upon rewatching I noticed that there are actually a lot of seemsly integrated 3D models in these animations, specifically for shovel knight. It was hard to tell they were 3D at first, but at closer look he constantly shifts from 2D to 3D, especially his shovel

I love this so much! I've beaten all of these games except for Hollow Knight (I'll get around to it I swear), and seeing all these indie gaming icons interact is really cool, feels a lot like the Subspace Emissary from Brawl. All the characters were represented so well, loved the dynamic between Cuphead and Shovel Knight. And as someone who's played way more UT/DR than the other games I loved all the attention to detail with frisk like having a crazy high power level after the genocide route of 38 million, 38 being 2 times the LV 19 you get at the end of the route. So much polish and care put into this

This is phenomenal! I cannot wait to see more, there is so much potential in this as a series, I cannot wait to see how this grows and evolves over time!

I love that you paired up Madeline with Knight. Despite having little screen time, their interactions are perfect. Plus, the duo makes sense given their games revolve heavily around platforming and climbing. Also, Madeline and Badeline's voices are PERFECT.

my favorite part is that cuphead laughs at mugman's nickname "Mugsie" all because of shovel knight saying mugsie and i laughed.

As a massive fan of shovel knight, it’s incredible to see him in this fashion, being a main character and his entire move set. Of course every else so far is incredible too, and I can’t wait to see a battle between the two knights. Spoiler: Oh god The Beheaded is here now. One genocidal child was bad, but now having a battle hungry maniac as well will be interesting
