Hulls shooting is getting better but she needs to learn the players tendencies from film. She’s was terrible guarding Mabrey. Mabrey always goes to the left side of the basket with the layup. Hull moving left toward center court and Mabrey went right around Hulls right side Lane was wide open for the easy layup. To erratic with her movements and fouls a lot. Needs to get in the gym and build those core muscles.

Lexie should be on the court at the end of the game ! not Wheeler ! period . even Grace is better option then Wheeler for defense stop ! just wondering when will Taylor having her chance . for Fever's present and future , and the owner's pocket($$$) , sit Wheeler as another assistant coach , play Lexie /Grace , make sure Mitchell does less hero ball , if they want keep this up : In just seven home games in 2024, Indiana Fever have already eclipsed their combined home attendance totals from the 2022 and 2023 WNBA seasons

@@tingmei884 The only rookie that gets minutes is Caitlin. Celeste Taylor's time will come but we can't expect her to play in place of Erica Wheeler. Nor is it really feasible. Erica Wheeler has played 5 seasons with the Fever and was the starting PG for Sides first year with the time. You can't really put a value on that kind of familiarity and knowing the teams system. You can see it between Wheeler and Kelsey Mitchell when Caitlin is off the floor. Obviously it's not the most effective form of offense the team can run, hence why Caitlin starts, but its also in theory more valuable over time than Celeste Taylor would be.

Yeah shes a no b.s. player. I like how she doesn't stop to complain to refs or hang her head if she makes a bad play, she just gets back on defense at full speed and effort like all these players should be doing. Too many players are always looking to the refs or if they make a bad play or turnover they just stop instead of immediately getting back on defense. Clark does that alot. She'll get mad at a mistake and just walk back or give up.

5:42 Lexie: she can find you in times where you don't really know it's even coming. Kelsey was streaking, Caitlin threw the pass. Mitchell wasn't expecting it, which led to a turnover. At the end of that play, KM put 1 finger up acknowledging she should've expected Clark to do it. Because CC said she will always reward her teammates who hustle, will take the risk of turning the ball over. I believe we're getting there. Go, Fever!

The pivotal change that has occurred is getting Lexie Hull into the lineup. I know the coach always talks about her "d", but the reality is, she, along with Aliyah Boston, are the two players on the court who understand that the way to victory is to get the ball immediately into Caitlin's hands when it winds up in theirs. That's the way that Iowa played, only in college, all four players on the court immediately gave the ball to Caitlin to lead the offensive attack. Against the Sky, Hull and Boston, if you watch the game again, immediately look for Caitlin when they get their hands on the ball in the backcourt. Since Caitlin is such a brilliant creator on the offensive end, it led on Sunday to a ton of baskets and, hence, a 91-point outburst against a Chicago team that really on paper is an awful matchup for the Fever. The other players who seem to get it are the now-injured post player Temi, and the wing who just had a baby I guess less than a year ago. The more the offense is moving fast with the ball in Caitlin's hands, the Fever is going to score points ... or "eat" as some of the players refer to it. Reality is, the Fever lacks a second post player and that is going to make it nearly impossible to beat the league's elite teams. The only way that will happen is by outscoring them. As for the Boston T-shirt the coach is wearing in this video, the coach. knows that Boston needs to have her confidence at a 110-percent level to play the effective way she has in the last two games. When she does, the Fever can beat 6 of the 11 other teams in the league. The coach doesn't need to wear a "If you break it, you own it" T-shirt. She knows Caitlin is the most valuable player on the team and does not lack confidence. Boston's confidence needs to be built up daily if not hourly. So, the coach always throws flowers Alliyah's way. Always. At the same time, she knows her season. and her future is in the hands of her point guard.

Clark is brilliant at seeing the court and making solid passes. However, against teams with tough on-ball defenders, Clark's dribble is vulnerable. She has to become more secure in her dribble. The blitzes still are something she has to get used to seeing and developing timing to exploit. Clark also doesn't use the dribble penetration/pass as much as other PGs but she'll get there. Her shiftiness is good and she's developing that. In the WNBA, Clark is still very much a developing player. She has to get stronger, more secure handles to be the PG at all times. If you watch Mitchell, although her court vision and passing isn't great, her handles are secure. That's why, against the Sun, Liberty and other teams with great on-ball defenders you may see Mitchell handling the ball and Clark more off-ball IMO. Clark also has to take/make more midrange shots and utilize the at the rim floater more (something she may have tried going up against the two Chicago bigs where Reese hit her with the flagrant). Caitlin's next step is to take it to the Aces, the Liberty, the Sun against great defenses and help make the Fever at least competitive against them (at their mid-season form). But, as give her time because PG is a tough nut to crack in the pros if you have to work on ball handling.
