I love my teacher’ s pet in Wallace, Wheeler and Mitchell. So it’s very hard for me to say something bad about them. I will be throwing CC under the bus all day everyday without having any second thoughts. I was paraphrasing Christie Sides here.

It should not upset anybody by now. Erica Wheeler, Kristy Wallace and Kelsey Mitchell are Sides favorite players. We understand that. Sometimes taking care of certain players is more important than wins. The play that Boston hit the three, the play was set up for Wallace but she was late to the spot. CC passed the ball to Wallace for a layup and she blew it. Then with 7 seconds to go Wallace was suppose to get the final shot. But Boston shot it herself. Basically Wallace had three shots at a tie or win but only was 0-1. She was out of place twice.

Sides, Wallace, and Wheeler all came from ATL. That is history behind that.

If Wallace is your go to in the clutch, there is no defending Sides as being a good coach. Clark, Mitchell, or Boston, are the only options that make any sense.

Sides is over her head. It starts and ends there.

No surprise there - to coach Sides, her fave players and gal pals are all better than Clark. When they are winning, she credits the team. When they lose, she mentions Clark's name. I've stopped listening to her interviews coz actions speak louder than words, and we don't want more of the same.

Wallace seems to be late most of the time when she is the one responsible for the pass to CC when her number is called and then CC has to end up passing it back in. I really think Christy Sides plays her so many minutes because she does what Sides wants her to do, play last year's offense with Wheeler, Mitchell. Smith and Boston.. with CC just being a decoy and watching.

Bruh, everything you said that Kristi Wallace needs to do, Celeste essentially can do but with defense. I don't get why she hasn't given Celeste a chance at all but Kristy gets all the playtime.

Robin, I don’t know if you’ve caught it in the interview today with Damiris Dantas there are some mention of her being signed in the off-season and then they were asking who she had become friends with her connected with the team already she said AB and she said and Wheeler we played together in Brazil ahh now I get it… is do not appear to be decisions based on what’s good for or what’s needed by the team but personal relationships if true this is unacceptable both for the team and for Caitlin! when is the owner going to make some needed decisions either to get this team on track or to make some major changes?

Yeah, I'm not sold on Wallace, but admittedly I have a limited perspective on all her possible tangibles. The Fever are a work in progress so I say I'll wait and see. I've been wrong before. Sides must see something in Wallace that's going to be important for the team. The Fever have a lot of breakdowns on defense and aren't smooth on offense, but most of the players are new. It takes time for continuity but with these new fans it has to happen now so there is constant drama. Time always tells.

I got chastised for coming too hard on a prior video. Fair enough, I am a big boy. This is a vicarious exercise, nothing we say has any impact unless withdrawing fan support reaches the organization. I will still maintain my opinion here in the comment section. Robins takes are soft ball, so be it. There is a lot of incompetent history in this organization that precedes this year. And currently, it is not just the incompetency of this coach, it is the dissent, that she is creating, most notably, Boston and CC because they came from high level programs, with individual pedigree, and I would argue, especially in CC’s case, smarter than their coach. She is constantly making outrageously bad in game adjustments, or lack thereof, then throws her players under the bus. Ok…. She is not going anywhere, from what I have been reading elsewhere, Lin Dunn will not make a change. Fans are stuck. Only thing I can hope for is CC slowly takes over the team so that they play more efficiently, and outscore whoever they are playing in winnable games because their defense will ALWAYS suck this year since they simply do not have grit on this team, as well as the personnel. And I always said that Fever main problem is the rebounding (as you pointed out here). Smith getting destroyed by some rookie is simply unacceptable.

The Fever management should think of Christie Sides and have her sit out for the remainder of the season to rest her voice. Otherwise, she may end up sounding like President Clinton. I'm sure Lisa Bluder would be available in an emergency, if not, then try Larry Bird. He knows a little about basketball. With her time off, maybe Christie Sides can read a book about coaching basketball.

Main problem with Side's offense is, she is using Clark as the 2nd scoring option, as a facilitator point guard, and not a scoring point guard (the 1st scoring option), which is Clark's natural position. This is why Boston took the last shot that resulted in Fever losing. CC needs to go somewhere else.

The worst coach in the WNBA

Unfortunately CC is used to Gabby Marshall. A defensive specialist that could also hit open 3s and layups. Big drop off from that to Wallace. But you can’t tell me the player they just released could not play defense as good as Wallace if scoring is clearly not important to the HC.

It’s not just that she’s under 30% but it’s some of the most wide open best looks in the entire league. She should be at 45% with those looks.

SHE DOESNT DESERVE TO PLAY. CELESTE WAS A BETTER CHOICE DEFENSE AND SHOOTING BUT THEY LET THE NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED GUARD GO- ANND SHE WON’T EXPLAIN IT.

I never thought I'd say this, but I only want to see Clark do good in games as usual but now I want to see the Fever get their asses handed to them until Sides is replaced! I was a Fever fan but now I'm ONLY a Clark fan! For some reason Sides hates Clark and that is obvious!

She proved her incompetency in her interview at practice saying she doesn't know what role the new player will be, what Temi's role and the team will be, she don't know the update of those players injury.

Sounds like a coach that believes she has all the GM and owner support to keep doing what she does. If Sides felt threatened, she’d make decisions accordingly.

IMO, Sides shows a disproportionate amount of support for Wallace & Wheeler, and Mitchell & AB compared to her support of CC. That’s indicative of a real problem in the coaching and team dynamics.

Chennedy Carter is the Sky’s offensive player that will beat you with scoring and assists. Marina is a streaky 3 point shooter and doesn’t play downhill like Carter. Fever had Mitchell on Carter. So, if you don’t know who is beating you and how they are doing it then I guess you don’t know who might be more effective at slowing them down scoring and getting assists feeding to bigs. Marina is not going to beat you but Carter will with the ball in her hands and she did just that!

You are literally explaining what Celesycan do and ahe can also defend. Christie Sides is all about neoptism. Journalists are afraid to ask the hard questions and hold this coach accountable

Robin Lundberg: Coach told you that Wallace is in there for her defense. What part of that didn’t you understand? Roster construction takes avg 4.5 years in WNBA. This is year 2. Believe it or not, if coaching staff had somebody better, they’d already be in there. They watch film from every practice and game. If you think you’re smarter than the whole staff and the analytics coach, see Dunning-Kruger Effect for introspection. Wallace brings some size and a motor that never stops, and they don’t need her scoring. She’ll be upgraded in the offseason but complaining about her scoring because she’s a favorite scapegoat of the couch couches in here is unprofessional IMHO on your part.

When a coach wants techniques taught and employed that time after time don't work, then the sub-coaches are enablers. For the 1st 13 games, the team didn't set effective picks, especially off ball. Those are basic high school level skills. It was chaotic and sloppy. Part was Boston came into camp fat and out of shape. These are things that were obvious and not a phenomena detailed in a psychological study.

There weren’t any practices to fix anything. Christie Sides and her staff are teaching the same stuff as NBA: touch the paint, .5 second rule of .5 to decide to pass, drive, or shoot. Dunning-Kruger Effect is the stages of competency and many CC fans “don’t know what they don’t know” because they are Stage 1 “Unconscious Incompetent.” I’m conscious incompetent because I’m fully aware that I don’t know much about anything, which is my favorite definition of wisdom.🤔😂

Anyone notice that when the Indiana player (Katie Lu Samulson) hit the Chicago player with the ball, nobody said anything, the media was quiet as crickets. If a Chicago player had hit one of the Indiana players with the ball it would still be leading all the sports and news shows.

the whole Fever fandom is becoming a bit toxic. hating on players, the coach, friends of players. let them figure it out, it is still early on with this group.

It’s funny that people here are trying to find reasons to blame anyone other than CC against winning squads . Some of y’all are still convinced that women can’t ball. If they loose again against the best teams, that seems to be the narrative that some one should be fired. Saw some of y’all say Aliyah Boston too fat or needs to move faster. Some of y’all never played the game and seen some guys that are sizey move. Luka best example. Sides is doing her job. Y’all need to relax and enjoy the games. CC will get better.
