Prime Federer is unplayable, this was easily the most dominant player in history

@@WuzzaWombat Yup, everyones got their kryptonite. Goes for Nadal as well, his absolute nightmares are/were Djokovic, Davydenko. And for Djokovic, well he's got a positive h2h against everyone I guess but he sure didn't like to play Wawrinka on the big stages, as well as Nadal on clay or Federer on fast Surfaces.

Fez Nadal was created in a lab to be Federer's worst nightmare. But anyone else.. prime Federer is untouchable

Fed could beat good players so routinely back then. Didn't get out of 2nd gear here.

Yeah, compare this match to the one against Ljubicic the same tournament. You can see Fed had to work a lot harder in that one and so he did. Produced some magical shots in that one.

Man Federer really hit a lot of slice backhands in those days. Did he even know how to hit through the ball on that side. Maybe he learned over the years.

Don't be ridiculous. He hit whatever he wanted full throttle

Of course he knew, you're obviously not familiar with Federer.

Um, often, actually. Often hit passing backhand shots past Roddick, for example.

Of course he did, but if you've got one of the best backhand slices in history then you're gonna use it.

It’s almost unfair lol. Gilles played really well and has an effective all court game. But prime Fed was simply in a league of his own.

I don't find these highlights too good or balanced. RF is up 5:1 in the second set and we barely see how he got there. There are as many winners by Muller shown, that's not representative of the set. Like wow, Muller won a few points on his own serve, shocker.
