Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Using Tank Machine subframe block off and new Combustion Industries 1920 brackets/Micron lights, I finally dig into the fender delete mod and show you how to do it. The whole process was easier and more enjoyable than I expected.

I've been waiting for this video from you for a long time, thank you for this. Hoping to see maybe a little bit wider tire on the back ? 180 maybe. These 240 are a little bit too much for me. Also TankMachine also makes a very thin fender that licks the tire and mounts on to the swing arm. Would look sick too. Also I'm sorry for your loss, my condolences. It is the natural order of things I guess. I'll raise a glass to that tonight. Cheers and thanks for the video.

So just to confirm when you buy the 1920 solo seat, it come with a close off cover, Which is the cover plate needed if you are doing a fender delete. And the other close off cover which is sold separately is required if the fender remains on the bike? Hey Jim! Huge fan of the channel and of the bike. How long did the plate take to arrive? And was this the only solution you found? Kind of nervous spending over 400 on an overseas company in France

Tank machine is a very reputable company with very high quality products. Don't be afraid to order from them. It took about 9 days to receive. There are other options, for instance Mother Road makes a plate for about $100 but it's just a flat piece of metal. NLC make a good looking one for a little over $300 which I ordered, but it ended up being fiberglass and I wasn't comfortable with that. Tank Machine is the only OEM looking option that fits perfectly and is built literally like a tank.

@@Jimbobbington Hey Jim, so I'm ordering the TM part. One issue I'm hoping you can help with is I no longer have the original close off (I have the raised one with the I) Where would I be able to find it without ordering an entire kit? I've looked Amazon/ ebay/ Google shopping Thanks Jim!

The fender is a safety device. Once, as a kid, I had a friend riding two up with me and I goosed the throttle and he slipped off of the seat onto the fender. Just think what would have happened if I hadn't had a fender. He would have landed on the back tire and it would have pulled him in and sanded off his private parts. Plus, bikes don't look as cool as you think they do without fenders. It's just an unfortunate fad that probably won't last long. It's like relocating a tag. What could be stupider than sticking your tag out where the wind catches it and makes your aerodynamics even worse? Fortunately, lots of companies have realized that it's best to take modern tech and put it in classic motorcycle beauty. In the 70's they didn't have the technology but they did know something about beauty. And they had fenders, right? If you want a beautiful bike you have fenders. It's fine if you disagree. Here in America you have the right to be wrong. ; )

The stupid thing here IMO is to ride two up without an actual passenger seat. Not having a fenderless bike, even tho you are right about it being a safety device. That said, it is not a temporary fad, it's been around for years especially in the bobber scene. Your tastes are yours and yours only. If you don't like it it doesn't mean the counterpart is wrong. And you speak about companies putting modern tech, but companies are first and foremost subject to safety norms getting stricter and stricter, it isn't really a first choice for them.
