Indian government: We're sticking with Russia | DW News

India is standing by its close relationship with Russia - refusing to join the widespread condemnation of the death of opposition leader Alexei Navalny. Speaking to DW at the Munich Security Conference, BJP National Spokesman Jaiveer Shergill said India is “on the side of peace.” With Germany and France signing pledges to keep providing Ukraine with weapons, Shergill urged Europe to consider “what would it take to stop the war?”
Shergill addressed the challenge facing India from China, saying “the era of one single power domination is long gone.”

@@user-cm2lu1lc4q Of course. India has never approached any other country to drum up support against china .....but giving China what it deserves directly, through diplomacy, military, and Economic measures........Western countries are using this scenario as a hedge against China is for their own interest and by their own prerogative. Had India needed the support it would have changed the nature of the Quad from purely economic to a military cooperative nature.....but despite USA wanting to India has resisted such a move, India keeps buying oil from Russia....do you think if there was dependency on the West fir India's security India would have been able to msintain such a strategic autonomy, which even Europe cannot?

India’s courts are drowning in over 5 crore pending cases, with most of them stuck in the lower judiciary. At this rate, it would take more than three centuries to clear the backlog. This is a nightmare for millions of litigants who suffer injustice, poverty, and uncertainty due to the endless delays. Shame on india, 🇮🇳 no vision and no quality of service or life. Number of pending cases: As of December 2022, over 5 crore (50 million) cases are pending across all levels of courts in India, with over 4.3 crore languishing in district courts alone. * Time for case resolution: With the current disposal rate, it's estimated to take over 324 years to clear the existing backlog. * Impact on citizens: Delays in resolving cases can cause immense hardship for litigants, affecting their lives, finances, and businesses. Shame shame 75 years of independence still running on British made judiciary 🧑‍⚖️ system 😀😀😀. No make in india for law and order.

The reporter tried hard to make him say controversial things, but the Indian representative remain firm and answered his questions perfectly. Western Media, and the West itself especially The US, must understand one thing that they cannot make India do things as they want. Time has changed. Mark my words, ten years from now, India will be a superpower, at that time, no one will have the guts to ask India for anything. So The US and European Union must accept this reality and respect India's sovereign decisions at global level.

Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union during the 1960s. The Soviet Union didn't have regions with that type of autonomy. So if Pakistan got weapons and ammo from those regions during that period, it was likely through illegal arms deals kind of like how Russia still gets its micro chips from the west despite the sanctions. Basically it means it would have been individuals and not a state operation. I don't want to get in any discussion about this now and do respect your country's decisions, and also I am not a German, so I have no stakes in this, but I feel there might be a misunderstanding. Germany is in fact the second biggest provider of financial and military aid to Ukraine after the US. It organised/pledged/sent several state of the art air defense systems guarding Ukrainian cities (even systems their own army desperately wants but hasn't received yet) worth billions, a 3 digit number of Leopard I and II main battle tanks, MARS II and PzH2000 artillery systems, Gepard mobile air defense, all of their Marder IFV, etc. As for fighter jets: Germany gave all their MiG29 to Poland, which in turn handed them over to Ukraine. Yesterday, 17th Feb 2024, Germany pledged another 1,8 billion US$ including 36 tanks and signed a security pact with Ukraine. As for the energy: The German government includes the Green party that has for many years championed a zero fossile energy system in their efforts to fight global warming and Germany - like most European countries in the last two years - has massively invested in Solar and Wind power as well as Geothermal power. As a matter of fact they have been promoting this long before this war and are more than happy to finally get rid of any carbon based energy. If you doubt any of this, a 20 second Google Search (e.g. "German aid to Ukraine") will confirm it. As stated before, I am not German and yes, Germany like most countries has many flaws, but not supplying UKR with tanks or jets in order to get more fossile energy from Russia are certainly not among them.

West on the other hand has try to hurt India on multiple occasions, shields anti India separatist leaders, pokes their noses in India’s internal matters, does business with India’s enemies while expecting India not to do business with their enemies. Wait? You didn't understand Jaishankar's English? You can accuse him of being erudite, but his language is not at all ornate. I wonder what you'd think of Shashi Tharoor's language (Disclaimer: I certainly feel Mr.Tharoor's language is unnecessarily ornate).
