This is a piece called Havana Mirage composed by Jack Jennings and the Attuned Quartet. Based on the scale of Raag Vatcaspati from South Indian Classical Music.
This was recorded live at the Capstone Theater in Liverpool on the 24th of February 2024 for a special afternoon concert. This event is part of the Liverpool International Jazz Festival in association with MilapFest.

This was a wonderful afternoon gig/raga which my mum and I enjoyed wholeheartedly 😊 We felt the vibrations of these melodic sounds pour through to our soul and I'm sure the audience felt the same with their response to your eclectic collection of creative songs..During the first song I instantly thought of White Summer by Jimmy Page especially the RAH 70 gig 😉and the way the guitar was used as a continuous undercurrent of driving yet melodic repetition reminded me of John McLaughlin in Mahavishnu Orchestra...Thank's so much Jack for sharing your music and knowledge in concert and on your channel!One love! 🙂🙌

Thank you so much for coming to the concert. Those are two of my favourite guitar players so I'm really happy that you were reminded of them. I know that White Summer performance by Jimmy Page, so that means a lot thank you 🙏🎸👍. More videos on the way from this concert.

And the reference to JR Tolkein in which Page and Plant were highly influenced by and recreated in sound especially in Zeppelin's live odyssey's of No Quarter and Dazed and Confused and by 1975 NQ had become this jazz -blues endless,timeless Raag with Jones,Bonham and Page playing off one another's feel and spaciousness..Hey Jack,Hendrix's Hear My Train A Comin at Woodstock also has this circular spacious jazz loose yet driving feel.Jimi's toned down Strat which could explode at any moment(Omar Puente 😉)and Mitch Mitchell even sounds like a tabla player with his whirling/plodding approach and jazz feel.Form exists in space yet space needs no form and yet all co-exist.Brahman-Atman,Clay-pot haha..Muchas Gracias!😊🙏
