DOGS are not meant to sit at home n play ball with you and guard your home. We do not ask the bull if the bull is okay to plough the land, then we won't get good. My 2 bits- After observing the sport it looks like the bull is not harmed like it is in Spanish bull fights... but the organizers should not use chilli powder to get the bull mad etc, maybe use drums and other things to get the bull running. So I think we should have animal safety supervisors and heavy fines if cruelty rules are violated. What would be more kind to animals is if we ban Ox carts and Tongas which force the animals to do hard labor all day.

Veena Srinath they will never use chillinpowder and stuff those all are planned by the peta group to submit proof against the farmers... peta's whole idea is to destroy the native breeds of our lands and bring in exotic breeds like jersey etc it has already happened in Kerala.. I come from a village backdrop trust me the farmers grow bulls like children how can they harm their own child? These things the peta dogs say are atrocious☹️ if a farmer earns 200 rs per day he/she will spend 100 rs on their cattle and bulls.. jus because they are farmers don treat them like Barbarians it's very hurting :(

I agree, even though I am an animal lover and I donate to PETA regularly, I also think they can become tools for politics and general noise ...but I do appreciate their work in saving mistreated animals. However I think urban animals are abused more than rural animals.

India today is very biased towards jallikattu. They must do a proper news documentary on this issue and let the whole India know the actual truth. I am not saying you to ignore the animal rights concerns. Just talk about the actual issues like A1A2 milk controversy, importance of preserving native breeds etc. If you're gonna continue to ignore these issues we're made to think either you're scared to expose the truth or you're just pawn of those corporates.

Don't call it as South Conclave simply by inviting all tamil people or people who are living in chennai because south india is not just about Tamil nadu it has 4 more states,you could have invited few personalities from Andhra,Telangana,Karnataka and Kerala,I mean it's not done.

Firstly this is India, and only after that, we can talk about individual states; nowhere a country should be divided on the basis of region like north, south east and west. Please keep in mind that yes the so called Main Stream national media is covering the activities and issues that pertain to a particular region, Northeastern part, southern part are totally secluded from your vision. Why wasn't the dhulagarh riots not been extensively covered? I would rather say that today's media is even more religious, region and a communal biased when compared to the ancient news media A question to all the activists, why can't the Horse races and the beef and meat producing slaughter houses be banned? Why can't you protest against the festivals where the animal sacrifice and culling happens? Why do you want to target a festival and a sport that celebrates and embraces the cattle especially the bulls? Why can't you stop all these KFCs and McDs outlets that sells meat? Isn't there animal rights involved, when they are killed and made it as a food?
