I mean no disrespect but Tamil language is restricted to tamilnadu only and when it comes to Hindi its spoken and more or less understood in many states that why the emphasis to learn Hindi so that one will be able to communicate freely e.g when you begin Tamil, can speak English, Tamil maybe kannada but if you also know hindi you will have better edge if you ever interact with someone who speaks hindi, vice versa if a person from Delhi can't speak Tamil he will not have that edge as you had so it's better to learn, also its a matter of choice if you don't want to learn your wish nobody can /should force to learn

The only reason TamilNadu consented to be part of India post Independence was the assurance of non-imposition of hindi on Tamil Nadu. By forcing a single language on regions with diverse traditions and native languages, such as us and other regions, you are paving the door for future division of India.

Yeah like, what kind of diversity if we impose a language of a particular area on the whole country just because of a majority :/ These points which are governments try to prove are useless. And even if we try to impose a language, so, India will definitely perish. Because, with a certain language, a certain culture comes, so imposition of language becomes imposition of a culture too, and in that case, all cultures will be finished. I am from UP and I totally respect the fact of all other states, cause it is fully valid. But our government, especially the all-we-know ministers who didn't even graduated from their schools are imposing a culture on others😆. And even if we leave that aside, they don't even have common sense. Almost all our ministers are mindless creatures trying to prove an invalid point on a severe decision and they don't even know what the main thing is about. So, as a land of diversity, our nation should not become Hindustan it should become Bharat. And, all languages are our national languages, because the unity is in the diversity, and, we should be proud that the most successful and long lasting empires and the oldest languages originated in our country. Long Live our country 🇮🇳

If the imposition of Hindi stops, our country will definitely achieve and if people want they themselves can learn Hindi, afterall what kind of democracy does not offer a Right to Opt for something? And, every state matters equally, if we impose more of a state, the whole nation will get destroyed and our diversity will die eventually. And, if we ACTUALLY stand together, maybe all of the corrupt ministers and sinisters of our country get finished forever and our country finally becomes a developed nation.

I am a Telugu-Tamilian and as much as my mother tongue is Telugu, I was born in border areas of TN and AP and I consider myself Tamilian. I don’t want anyone telling Tamilians what they should know or not know. I don’t want federal $$ used to promote ANY language. I want Tamilians to decide what they will or want to learn. We want people who speak Bengali to worry about their language in their state and Hindi speaking people to worry about Hindi in their states. So will Telugu people and so will Gujaratis or so will Assamese. Tamilians want to be left alone. No one should tell us what to do and tell us anything. Those Hindi speaking people who are eager for South Indians to know Hindi, I encourage them to learn one of the Dravidian languages (ideally Tamil) and close this chapter.

I speak Tamil, telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam and english. I'm a south Indian. How many from north India knows other than Hindi......

Sujith M C i did my education in NORTH INDIA. but No where in History books i found any contributiona of South Indian people in Indian Independence. like for example.. from my native Town Shivagangai. there is a great Story even Before Jhansi ki rani ; *Velu Nachiyar Thevar was first Qeen in India to Fight against British* The Qeen of shivagangai seeking vengeance against Britsh for Murder of her Husband *Muthuvaduganathaperiya Udaiya Thevar* She formed an army and sought an alliance with her brother Raja Gopala Nayakar with the aim of attacking the British, whom she did successfully fight in 1780. *When Velu Nachiyar found the place where the British stored their ammunition, she arranged a suicide attack: a faithful follower, Kuyili, doused herself in oil, set herself alight and walked into the storehouse* Velu Nachiyar formed a woman's army named "udaiyaal" in honour of her adopted daughter, Udaiyaal, who died detonating a British arsenal. She was one of the few rulers who regained her kingdom, and ruled it for ten more years.1790, The throne was inherited by her daughter Vellacci Thevar i am sure there might be many many more great stories from other parts of south India as well.

In the video Telugu is written as Telegu... This is the exact reason why south Indian doest want hindi to be national language. This arrogance of north indians not knowing atleast correct spellings of other indian languages but want others (south, NE indians) to know hindi is the problem.

Being a Non hind language Indian people we use English language throughout India and our mother language and never use hindi language. If hindi language imposed upon us we have to fight against it.

When a north Indian hindiwalla travels to USA (a place with different language different culture ) they learn English,When a north Indian hindiwalla travels to France (a place with different language different culture ) they learn French , but When a north Indian hindiwalla travels to Tamil Nadu, (a place with different language different culture ) they want others to learn Hindi. But when a french,german,american person travels to India, he learns english. Because we are puppets left by englishmen who already know english. No one has to put any kind of efforts, they dont need to learn bengali, or malyali or hindi. English is eating existence of all languages.
