@@lukewilson6338 you're right. India officially has a no first strike policy at war (irrespective of the opposition) and has never initiated any of the wars they've fought in the past. And my Pakistani friends may disagree with me because of how things are told to them and that's understandable as propoganda exists on both sides of the border, but truth is, most if not all the Indo-Pak conflicts of the past have been ignited as a result of militant infiltration trained and sent over by the ISI (Pakistani Intelligence). Militant infiltration into India from the Pakistani side of the border is a very regular affair that the Indian armed forces constantly intercept and neutralise but the times these infiltrations have escalated into war are the times when India has had evidence or reason to believe that the ISI or the Pakistani military were directly involved in said infiltration as seen in the case of the Kargil War in 1999, where what initially seemed like members of the militant group 'Mujahideen' laid siege on the Kargil district on the Indian side of the border. However when said militants were neutralised, items recovered from their corpses had evidence that the armed men belonged to the Pakistani Army and trained by the ISI. This escalated into a retaliation from the Indian side subsequently leading to an all out war with a decisive Indian victory. Pakistani Lieutenant General Shahid Aziz, and then head of ISI analysis wing, subsequently confirmed that there were no mujahideen involved at all but only regular Pakistan Army soldiers who took part in the Kargil War. Pakistani Prime Minister at the time Nawaz Sharif claimed to be unaware of this covert Pakistani military operation and went on record to admit that the whole thing was planned and carried out by General Musharraf and a few of his cronies in an attempt to destabilize the Indian side of the border and capture the Indian side of Kashmir in the process.

I hope that one day these two nations will be at peace and opened to each other

Not likely any time soon. Kashmir is the excuse Pakistanis will give. But, as long as Pak. Army remains the true ruler of Pakistan and encourages fundamentalist Islam, it is best for us Indians, including for India's Shias and Christians, that Pakistan stays on its own. India is doing well without thinking about Pakistan. Even if Kashmir issue is settled, Pak Army will find some reason to maintain hostility towards India. Otherwise, they lose their control and primacy in Pakistan.

Corrections, British didn't rule for 300 years and didn't rule whole of India. Their rule starts from 1857, and even then many of Kingdoms were free and in alliance with British rule, not under.

that's wrong. EIC had control over almost the entire country before that and some indirect influence over other territories. Whilst, it wasn't the British Empire itself, it still was a British-led and funded company. The second part of your statement is quite false and there is more to add-on to that.

@@tausbari1508 You can check history if you want. Yes, it was EIC before 1857 but neither they have control over entire India nor had alliance with all major empire in India. Even after 1857, many kingdoms had alliance with British Empire and instead of full control over them, they were left free to rule, check Wikipedia on British Raj and you'll see. India was never a colony of British, though the rule was shared between Indian and British rulers in many kingdoms, and in many they were only in alliance with British Raj.

@@tausbari1508 The OP is correct, technically the Maharajas were subject to the British (at the time Imperial) Crown like the kingdoms of the Holy Roman Empire were subject to their Emperor, but they held power (and controlled armed forces) of their own regardless, power was still subdivided and a lot of the rulers on the ground were all Indian Maharajas in alliance with Britain. It's hard perhaps to understand why this happened when you lack the context that before this India had been under the rule of the islamic Mughal Empire for several centuries and the Hindus were heavily repressed during their rule. A lot of Maharajas and Hindus would've preferred the British occupation over a return to form of the old Mughal Empire, as long as Britain stayed then Hindus could practice their faith in peace, and Islamic caliphates did not dare attack so it made sense to side with the British for a time

I am an Indian and proud to be one, but I respect and love my brothers and sisters of Pakistan ....Hope once we become united and one..

I have been staying in pak since 8 yrs as a Nepali and I must admit , pak is . Most mis understood Nation. I had the best life with so much genuine love from totally family like brothers, sisters. I have lived in India too. But I must admit I have the best, very clean, friendly life here in Pakistan. Pakistani are mis understood for their overwhelming kindness and loving, hospitable. Media has always negative chunk out of Pakistan to quench their diet on but in reality, pak is way way far more of a very standard and hospitable and loving country with kind Pakistani ppl. Just one word goes for Pakistani ppl "friendly and truly caring" This definition is misinterpreted on the outside World thankfully from this video its evident and would soon be in real sense to whole world as Pakistan has been open to whole World. Easiest country to travel to and get visa on arrival. One day pak wud compete Europe I second you the beauty it owns is beyond any level it's just not realized. Thee perception has not yet reached on larger scale. Imran Khan is a true human leader of world not only Pakistan. Having idolized to him I m blessed to have shaken hands with my idol. 🤝

nope, a lot of Pakistanis like balochis, sindhis, pakhtuns, kashmiris have vastly different genetics and cultures compared to indians. The only people with similar genetics and culture is the punjabis. There is nothing common between a white pashtun muslim from the northern areas of Pak compared to a south indian hindu. It's honestly quite desingenious to say they have the same culture and genetics when only a select group does. Pakistan has people with iranic, afghan, indo aryan, aryan, etc roots its very diverse.
