Humayun's Tomb was built in the 1560s under the patronage of Humayun's son, the great emperor Akbar. Persian and Indian craftsmen worked together to build the garden tomb, far grander than any previously built tomb in the Islamic world.

La Tomba di Humayun fu costruita nel 1560 sotto il patronato del figlio di Humayun, il grande imperatore Akbar. Artigiani persiani e indiani lavorarono insieme per costruire la tomba del giardino, molto più grandiosa di qualsiasi tomba precedentemente costruita nel mondo islamico.

The tomb is in an extremely significant archaeological setting, centered on the Shrine of the 14th century Sufi Saint, Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya.

La Tumba de Humayun fue construida en la década de 1560 bajo el patrocinio del hijo de Humayun, el gran emperador Akbar. Los artesanos persas e indios trabajaron juntos para construir la tumba del jardín, mucho más grandiosa que cualquier tumba construida anteriormente en el mundo islámico.

Humayun's Tomb werd gebouwd in de jaren 1560 onder de bescherming van Humayun's zoon, de grote keizer Akbar. Perzische en Indiase ambachtslieden werkten samen om het tuingraf te bouwen, veel grootser dan enig eerder gebouwd graf in de islamitische wereld.

The interior is an octagonal room. The structure is of dressed stone, faced with red sandstone, with black and white inlaid marble edges.
