28 Dec 73, Platoon 395, Co I, 3rd Bn, MCRD Parris Island, last Platoon to graduate for 1973. Thanks Senior Drill Instructor Ssgt Stewart, Ssgt Jonican, Sgt Valentine, Sgt Guest, you took 18, 19 yr old boys and made us Marines. Im as proud today as I was 44 yrs ago. Semper Fi.

They graduated a day early on thursday because of inclimate weather, not friday.

Yeah the service uniform is the uniform of the day on friday, since this was on thursday they wore cammies.

I personally didn't like that we graduated in our cammies, I had to change in a hotel before I could eat dinner with my family
