27 years later and this still brings goosebumps. Russell was a jokester and felt like he failed as a father but in the end, he showed how much he cared and made the ultimate sacrifice for mankind. One of America’s greatest underrated heroes. 🇺🇸

It's hard to say. Don't forget we don't see how these two acted together when they WEREN'T in front of the camera. Not saying they didn't get along, but there's been some actors who don't get along together. Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carrey in Batman Forever. Apparently Tommy Lee Jones didn't like Jim Carrey.

@@XXLSSBBWTommy Lee Jones is notorious for not getting along with other actors, especially if those aren't classically trained. It's got something to do with the fact that many untrained actors are way better than his trained leather face. Jealousy of a craftsman for an artist - a tale as old as mankind.

Also what I liked about when the Pilots are walking into the bunker is you see all ages and race coming in (yes I know that they were looking for anyone that could fly a plane). My 2 favorites are the man with long beard and the older silver haired man just behind the President. I don't know why but I just like those 2. I think it is meant to show that just because you are old doesn't mean you are down for the count.

@@philipbay1548 Most would've been in their mid-late 70s by then and my uncle who was a pilot is that and only just stopped from health issues, so a guy that old in good shape could handle it and he learned to fly from WW2 RNZAF pilots, so it's quite likely then. I've meet a few in their 80s/90s who were still fairly strong, so had they been there they'd have possibly flown if they kept it up. One called Les Munro who was born in 1919 was still working daily on his farm into his 80s, though I think he stopped flying and flew heavy bombers, though he did help inspire Star Wars. As you said race there, it'll have been pretty cool to see a 75 year old Māori warrior there and have him say he shot down several Nazis or something... it happened!

The exchange between Pullman and Goldblum was so well done - the power of feeling deep, genuine respect for a person who holds a position worthy of respect - touching to think about that, given how void our Nation is of respectable people in national leadership positions.
