    it does this twice every day takes about six hours 12 for a full circle, from full to ebb(lowest) and back to full

    Oh of how from our view here is showing that the moon rises wax and sets wayne all in 1 night, without moving location? Tycho all over the place. Observe every 3-4hours of a 12 hour observation, compare observations. How is any of what your looking at is normal from what you have ever been told. Stay Safe, And Love You ALL🤗

    Thats called a "Spring" tide..cuz it "bounces" alot higher when the moon and sun combine forces..the opposite end of the month is the "neap" tide.. its kinda simple when u keep track on a calendar..and u live there of course..

    Lowest, I’m sure. Bay of funny is known for its low tide that stretches for miles and can return back to high tide in just a few minutes

    Once when I was a kid (this is in Australia btw, not Canada) I was trapped in an area *very* similar to that with the tide coming in, we (family and I) had walked across an unfamiliar beach, that result in a dead end / cliff face to the east, and had to travel back west (imagine left to right in the video) as the tide rose and we were right against the face as it got higher, with each incoming wave threatening us over, then pull us out.. We lost our shoes and some other crap we'd been holding, but ultimately were "fine" - but super scary and really, a life long lesson!

    I was in Perce, Quebec, Canada with friends. They walked out to the big rock when tide was out. I stayed in the village. They had to swim back.

    the difference is in this video, water decreasing in couple of hours, but on tsunami, the water decreasing in just a coulpe of minutes

    @johnnytheprick yes I agree. Some tides are so swift people can't escape it. Condos do damage when the tides beat on the sea walls and pull out more sand unnaturally. The power of oceans should not be taken for granted.

    You can enjoy this phenomenon as long as it is the tidal fluctuations and not a Tsunami. Even in a Tsunami the ocean recedes( that is when you are supposed to run).

    It's a beautiful thing to think about how this occurs. Gravitational force between two celestial bodies pulling on one another. A mere 4,000km closer to the moon is what makes this occur. It is enchanting.

    I went on a motorcycle trip from Ohio up and through Nova Scotia. It was awesome. Alma was a cool little town with good camping very close.

    I grew up on the other side, near Barry. I think the difference in height between this tide and Avonmouth is only a few inches!

    So inviting, look at the work the water has done to undermine that cliff face, and then I imaging all the little creatures in the tide pools. Reminds me of my childhood on the shores of the Great Lakes.

    This is very similar to our coasts here in Alaska. If your driving from anchorage to girdwood you can get a really good view of our tidal changes.

    I've always wanted to see where the planet's highest tide is so thank you. I grew up on the shores of the Bristol channel in south western England where we have the world's second highest tidal range: 15 metres. It was always a challenge to get water from the sea for the moat of your sandcastle at low tide because it was about a mile away it seemed .That and the quicksand!

    The highest ocean tides are in the north of Western Australia where tides reach 36 feet and form the only horizontal waterfall in the world. These tides happen twice a day! The area is called Talbot Bay...

    Definitely one of the highest places as well in the world but Burntcoat Head Park has the highest recorded tides at 70 feet and an average tidal range of 47 feet happening twice daily.

    Nope,the bristol chanel rises and falls 40 feet at springs ,near Lydney lock gates . And the tide runs at 15 knots.

    we have our "reversing falls" here in Saint John NB, on the Bay of Fundy. Where the tide forces the water back up the Saint John river twice a day between 40 and 50 foot tides on average. your place is close but NOT the highest but you could be right about it being the highest "ocean" tide as we are just a bay off an ocean :)

    @@davidmurphy1207 All of my timelapses are created from photos. This one in particular was over the course of six hours, consisting of 1500 photos and many more spent editing and getting things right. I’ve made countless mistakes while recording timelapses snd learned along the way. There’s a lot more to it than just pressing record. I’m not sure why you’d feel the need to make the comment you did, I could imagine there’s an underlying issue at hand. I wish you all the best in whatever creative endeavours you have and for people to be appreciative of the work you put into it.

    I fell off a boat in the ocean when I was a kid so instead of drowning I decided to drink all the water but I was sick after two mouth fulls so I walked back up the beach and had a hot dog

    I grew up in Nova Scotia and Every few months since I was a child I’ve had nightmares that I’m playing down by the mud in the bay of fundy and get stuck and the tide comes in so fast I drown.

    Warning to future campers and strollers on this coast: make sure you are aware of the timing of the Tide's return...otherwise you will be in great mishap. Don't walk below soon you reach the spot because it's barren...the Tide can return anytime and in force atimes..I think it's a 6 hours cycle..so be very careful guys

    In Puerto Montt Chile, the tide has a range of movements of more or less than a kilometer. when the tide goes out you can see the plots of people who harvest an algae that the cosmetic industry sells. Saludos desde Chile 🇨🇱😁

    There's a story on Mr ballen channel where this couple takes a short cut across one of these low tides. Car gets stuck in the mud women gets out to push. Car came free. Women was stuck. Water slowly rose and she drowned
