Every pub should have a bottle one with invisible type wire used so if a really drunk person comes to the bar for one more drink the bartender can sneak onto the bar top and watch reaction. Tensegrity there is so many many creative minds at work creating these great talking points for any/every home..I am addicted to watching you may too L.O.L.

My man, not everything that involves a string under tension is tensegrity. This is just a string holding a bottle :))

Zuerst den Zweigelt austrinken und dann mit Wasser auffüllen - du Schlingel du! Aber wer einen Werkzeugwagen vom Huber hat darf das :) Gefällt mir! Werd' ich doch glatt für meinen Neffen nachbauen - der ist ist Winzer in der Kremser Gegend! Der Faden muss aber einiges aushalten - vor allem auf Dauer! Ich glaub da werd' ich dünnes Stahlseil nehmen - ich hab da noch eins mit 0,4 mm - das sollte halten.

It's nice. I'm not seeing what my brain thinks is tensegrity ... and this time I think my brain might be right ... which admittedly is a fairly rare occurance. This is more of an unbalanced load forced into place by a retainer. I'm sure there's a scientific name for it - but it ain't tensegrity.

Not tensegrity though... This is suspended fulcrum. Tensegrity would be zero rigid support. The entire thing needs to be tension supported, not tension and compression... Cool , but fail.

Always so funny when artists get a little engineering knowledge then go build stuff they think is cool when there are already thousands of structures out there using the same engineering that they did not bother to look at because you know it wasn't built by an artist. You also don't understand that what is amazing here is the wine bottle itself, how it can withstand the forces on it when cantilevered like this. It is NOT a good example of gravity or tensile forces it is a great example of CANTILEVERING. Furthermore it is a poor overall design in engineering principles. It would soon get damaged if used for this purpose.

10 minutes of that song on repeat only to find out the stand isn't tensegrity, isn't that interesting, and isn't worth the time it took to watch the video.
