Incredible Life In Strange Coral Reefs
Coral reefs are some of the richest hotspots of biodiversity on the planet. The warm water reefs of the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea are well known, but they don't only occur in warm waters. In some of the oceans coldest, darkest depths they are thriving. The deep water reefs are formed by icebergs as they slide across the sea bed, leaving behind perfect foundations for coral to build upon. Hidden from view, they criss cross the planet from the deep water tropics to the freezing Arctic. Some have never been explored by humans. Underwater cameramen have ventured down to the pitch blackness to find life thriving. In this one hour HD special, our team will enter this alien environment. And discover a strange, hidden world abundant with life, from the weird to the wonderful.

Why don’t the governments stop trawling? If it was simply not allowed the problem would not become any worse. Surely that’s the only way to preserve these areas?

GaslitWorld f. Melissa B nah it’s to set the stage for U.N. Agenda 21. You are right they aren’t happy until so much is destroyed but there are agendas at work. Us individuals will soon be told we can’t swim in the ocean, or walk our forests, and we will be sectioned in mass urban developments. Governments won’t stop trawling because there’s no perceived NEED to. The Hegelian dialectic at work will at some point call for that perceived need to be disseminated and then it will be too late.

I wonder if the bacteria that’s taking out Florida’s coral reefs was brought up from the depths of these trips and accidentally released in a place heat allows them to grow and kill regular depth coral.

I have reef tank and the temp. swings aren't the usual killers of coral, it's having a low pH and alkalinity. Corals can handle temp swings to an extent, as long as it's not too extreme, but once the pH drops below 7.8, most hard corals will start to bleach and die off.
Nice👍👍
hey guys at this channel I would just like to say I don't mind ads watching videos I know it goes with the the program but you had four commercials within the first 12 minutes of this video for ads that's getting a little bit greedy don't you think ‼️

Why are there no laws to control what these fishing vessels? As to the depth allowed to use their nets, where they are not allowed to fish, to identifying and record their nets and penalties for any lost nets that harm so many creatures?

I would like to say that even before human intervention, the climate changed all the time! Ice ages, and tropical ages and everything in between have been happening as long as we can see through fossil records. There was even a mini ice age in the 1700's.

yes but just because it changes naturally doesn’t mean it’s not unnaturally accelerating, through co2 emissions and habitat destruction the physical environment and atmospheric environment directly from humans
Amazing, it needs protection from fishing
It's a shame we can't figure out a way to farm the quality and quantity we need without destroying so much in the process. Maybe some day we'll figure it out. 👍

# Carol Reef Should Safe Guard From Climate Change Or Desert.
As usual these documentaries tell everyone exactly where to pillage in the oceans. So, with this free information given to them the unscrupulous, selfish & irresponsible fishermen on the planet go to those locations & destroy the reefs, devastate fish stocks & generally strip the ocean in the locations shared by the documentaries bare. Maybe it's not necessary to tell everyone exactly where pristine areas of the oceans & land, as well.

Millions if not billions of people would die without those resources. Or you could simply ride a bike everywhere you want to go. Grow your own food. Stop using single use plastics. Volunteer for ocean clean ups. Give up any and all pets including dogs, cats and horses who produce more methane than all the cattle in the world. Turn your life upside-down like you expect of everyone else.

@@JacindaH there are other ways of gathering fish and such from the ocean than these crude and destructive methods. We are humans. We can solve any problem we put our minds to. These methods should be banned. Not the deep sea fishing but the other two, especially trawling. Altho i think the most damage is done by forgotten nets and fishing line just littered about the ocean.

Is anyone else impressed that from this we get coal and then oil after several million years? Yet, we are so comfortable destroying it. It provides everything and even more than we ever expected, before we discovered oil.
if we ant to have fish left anywhere we need to stop harvesting commercialy for 20 yrs everyhere humans are killing everything we will figure out a ay to survive
14:25 "The shallow water stocks are depleted...fishermen must trawl ever lower to make a living." This gives the wrong message. Is the narrator suggesting in a way that continuing this practice is necessary for fishermen livelihoods? Then, what will happen to those livelihoods when there will be no more fish left to fish?
The evil in us, the Meek will inherit the earth made new.
Why, why, why do you we leave these delicate bioms at the peril of brutes, extortionists and egotistical people?
Oh sure, ban all of the trolling and fishing gear to save the deep sea. But snag a fishing line on an explorer and that's okay to rip up the coral reef, because it's for scientific purposes! B.S.!!!
