Ah yes. I feel that feeling. I was a keeper myself. But I’m not anymore. It’s much easier to see a keeper “embarrass” themselves than the players on the field. (If you know what I mean) I miss playing football (or soccer) :’)

@@timsonins I believe those are the current rules the moment the keeper gets hands on the ball he is considered in possession of it and it can't be kicked from his hands. When I was a child growing up I don't think it would be a foul but today with the current rules I believe the original poster is correct and that is a foul.

普通のプレイヤーが少しのミスをしてもその他のプレイヤーがカバーをすることができることが多いけど GKはミスをしたら直接得点に繋がる可能性が非常に高い またGKの役割は他のプレイヤーでは代用が効かないから スタジアムで走ってる選手よりもプレッシャーはすごいんじゃ無いかなって思ったんだけど ミスをした時の重みがGKは段違いだし

If you see Ederson doing those mistakes then understand it is a part of Pep's tactics used to utilize Ederson calmness and composure on the ball.

Some top-quality goalkeepers in that selection. It can happen to anyone, I guess.

6:17 is not truly a goalkeeper mistake. Under Law 12 in the IFAB: "A goalkeeper cannot be challenged by an opponent when in control of the ball with the hand(s)." Yes, the goalkeeper should have gotten there quicker, but, ultimately, the referee screwed up for allowing that (assuming they did).

It’s the fact he fucked up twice lol, first he lets it run through his legs but he was lucky because the ball wasn’t travelling fast giving him time to recover his mistake and clear it, but instead of clearing it he Miskicks the ball with his standing foot🤣🤣🤣🤣 it’s just ridiculous I’d have cried myself to sleep that night

Today I made a terrible mistake that led to a goal. We still won 7-2 but I’m watching this to help me feel better.

I genuinely feel bad for Willy Caballero (the first keeper). In 2012-13 he was by far one of the best goalkeepers in the world when he played for Malaga, and that schmuck Sabella (Argentina's then manager) never called him up for Brazil 2014, instead favoring absolute bellends like Sergio Romero who wasn't even the starting GK in his club. And right when Willy is way past his prime and a sub GK for City is when they finally call him up for the next WC, and we could all tell he was past it and lacked play time, instead of just calling him up when he was most needed, and he became an undeserved laughing stock with so many people just doing plain revisionism not knowing his Malaga history. He was truly fucked over.
