R.I.P...🙏 may his legacy continue on forever. His slow jogging technique is a gift to the world...
One of the great things about slow jogging is that I can slow jog to the gym ( about 20 mins) and then have a heavy workout of heavy deadlift, squats, etc and it’s all very manageable at age 63
I have the book and with the help has been able to run from 20 m to non stop 12 km and lost 23 kg of excess weight from it during the pandemic year. Forever grateful.
becos of him, i can now jog for 1hour. i used to hate running as after 100meter i would give up. Now, when i am tired, i will slow my pace and say to myself, "run with niko niko pace" .. with that i will continue with my slow jog.. thank you for changing my perception !

Thank you to Hiroaki Tanaka for showing us a way to stay healthier when full running and jogging is not accessible.
I am never go running ultramarathon far 50km above. But thanks to him, I am able to get 100km ultra run despite the fact that I am overweight 98kg and impossible to get far with this kind of shape unless I drop it minimum below 85kg. Thank you for your valuable knowledge slow jog. RIP 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you very much for your easy Way to run without pain and injury slow jogging makes me Happy after running
What a wonderful human being! I think about niko niko alot during running
I want to thank both Hiroaki Tanaka and Magdalena Jackowska for the video Slow Jogging: science-based natural running for weight-loss, health & performance benefits. A few years ago, I was required to run 1.5 miles in 15 minutes to keep my job. I was struggling for someone who never run before. After watching numerous videos, I found your video. I had doubts, however, I still decided to give it a try. The result was incredible in a month. My first 1.5 miles finished in 19 minutes in July (I failed), and my second 1.5 miles finished in 12 minutes in September after practicing slow jogs for a month. I really appreciate everything you guys have done.
Blessings!!
Rest in peace. Grateful ❤
If I jog 2 miles in 28 minutes because I prefer a slow pace is this still heart healthy
“A dose of slow jogging every day is a natural method to improve brain and “memory fitness.” The sooner you start, the better, even if you are far from being elderly.” ― Hiroaki Tanaka, Slow Jogging: Lose Weight, Stay Healthy, and Have Fun with Science-Based, Natural Running As many of you already know our dear teacher and friend, Professor Hiroaki Tanaka (or Hiro, as he liked to be called) passed away on Monday, April 23rd 2018. He spent all his professional life helping us to get healthier, fitter and happier, but to our great sadness nobody could help him to win a battle with cancer. ― Rest in Peace ―
May God rest the pious soul in peace ......miss him always
Rest in Peace..

According to another comment in Reddit, cancer.
😶 elders rock.
May i know the cause of his death? A bit disappointing for a health guru to have below average lifespan of only 71. But grateful for his contributions. Cheers.
