ntravi2 I just realised that those are the core themes of the plays though! Like "home" is quite clearly the key theme of in the heights (escaping home, remembering home and so on) but with Hamilton too "time" could be considered the main theme of that too ("wait for it" "write like you're running out of time" and so on) OMG that's so cool though. All the cast have such a special relationship. Like Karen clinging onto Chris's arm whilst crying and Daniela and Carla holding hands whilst singing "The hydrants are open, cool breezes blow." They are all so adorable. And the smiles and proud looks they give each other. And Mandy's point to the singer in the blue dress when shes singing at the start. And just how happy they are performing together. Edit: oh I forgot the ensemble lip syncing Lins lines when Mandy is singing "we're home" in the background

@@astranger6737 She's the one that sings Para Siempre
I'd like to take a moment to appreciate Chris and Karen at 1:40 because damn that shits adorable and I don't understand why no ones talking about it
"Theres a breeze off the hudson" "We RoW HIm BaCK AcroSS tHE HuDsoN"
Lin almost can't say "...You hear the music in the street...". And the last "I'm home" is full, full of emotion! I would've loved to see it on stage!
Half these folks are broadway stars now! Krysta Rodriguez, Javier Munoz, Karen Olivo, Morgan Mackey, Lexi Lawson, Chris Jackson

I just love how they acted like the audience was Pete's work... just... my heart...
Pete: He hates it Sonny: Shh.. he’s forming an artistic opinion artistic
The passion in Lins voice.. wish I could see this live
Edit: oh I forgot the ensemble lip syncing Lins lines when Mandy is singing "we're home" in the background
ta ta ta dum, ta ta ta dum, ta ta ta dum "YEAH I'M A STREETLIGHT!" Ugh

For some reason one of my favorite parts in this song is the whole “para siempre- para simpre-“ the way the line repeats and fades out is just so mesmerizing

2:58 - can we just appreciate the little humorous moment when Pete presents his "first work in his new series"...everyone cracks up at how he chose to convey that. Nina, Usnavi, Benny, Vanessa, they were all cracking up!

I loved how Lin turned to Karen laughing right away 😂
everytime he says "abuela that ain't a stoop that's your throne" i break. gets me every time.
It's 2020 and this song still makes me cry
Every time I hear this song, I start crying! I hope that never changes
"I'mma miss this place, to tell you the truth. Kevin, dispensing wisdom from dispatch booth, and at dawn, Vanessa at the salon. We gotta move on, and who's gonna notice we're gone?" :'( I had only just recovered from the show closing ahah! Lin's my second favourite lyricist to Sondheim. *sniff*
I love love love when everybody just jams out at the end

The movie got cancelled until further notice because the studio defended a sexual predator I think. Anyway, ITH is returning to Broadway, with Vanessa Hudgens and Anthony "Laurens" Amos in the lead roles of Vanessa and Usnavi.

HOW ARE THEY NOT BURSTING IN TEARS WHILE DOING THIS
Who is here after watching the in the heights movie ? “Pride is not the word I’m looking for” !
This entire show portrays love. Every note, beat, breath -- love. The cast not only performs, but receives with respect, admiration and passion for each other's gifts. Brilliant!
I can't believe we are getting a movie. I'm going to bawl my eyes out in the theater ✌🏼😚

This video hits right in the feels. brb crying
Ever since I’ve watched the movie for like the 15th time, I always come back to these videos cuz I just love listening to both songs from the original musical and the movie. I’m addicted to this 😂
In the heights Finale is hands down one of the best closing numbers in musical theater! Whether listening to the cast recording, watching a video clip or experiencing it live, my heart swells and my eyes water EVERY SINGLE TIME! Hamilton is good, but In the Heights has ALL the heart❤

When everyone builds up I know that I'm living my life to the fullest
My favorite last song to any musical ever. Amazing. I love this song so much. It makes me cry at least 60% of the time.
Here after watching the teaser for tomorrow's trailer and it is just _breathtaking_ how far this story came. I can't wait to see how they adapted it. Especially with Anthony playing Usnavi.
why can I not listen to this without crying AHHHHHHHH. I love it though.
lin will never stop moving
Rip Doreen :((
You and me both!!!.......It was really hard filming this with tears running down my face!!!!
"who's gonna notice we're gone" that's the main theme in Hamilton
this show needs to come back NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this show . Much credit and respect to all the cast, but the band is on FIRE. So damn good musically. Lin is a GENIUS!
My heart...!!!
RIP Doreen Montalvo :'(
"It's a wonderful life that I've known Merry Christmas" I see what you did there, Lin.
With the film doing so well, I definitely smell a Broadway revival of IN THE HEIGHTS coming!!!
When I first saw this show which was played by local actors. I cried so much. I live in a border town so we all could relate with the characters. Especially Abuela Claudia she reminded me so much of my grandma. This show brought so much happiness and music I listen to it everyday. I’m so glad Lin was able to share this show with everyone. The ending song always makes me cry.
Who's crying because of this in 2019
take the train to the top of the world and i'm there, i'm home :')
Shoot. I should have been into musicals this whole time.
Thank you for posting this!
almost forgot to watch this today
Amazing! Thank you for this!
Another thing, I love the way Lin delayed the last "Home" at the end! I've been seeing a lot of videos of the Finale and he never did that until this one...
Thanks for filming this, awesome!
Karen at 1:15 got me 😭
My first and only contact with In The Heights was an amateur play here in Buenos Aires, and I loved the musical. Last year, there was another play which I couldn't see. I became a fan of it! And this video is pure magic, pure emotion!
Well there goes my not crying streak
I performed this musical for my school's spring musical. Sharing it for my school was an honor. I would love to see it live! ❤
After all these years, this song still gives me goosebumps...
5 years on... still in tears
No words for how much I love this song.
I came here for inspiration for writing a slam poem on the topic of home.. Now I'm distracting because I've just cried watching this moving performance.
Always emotional this ending. Thanks.
Chills every time
Everytime I listen to this song I get chills, even my beard hairs stick up ahahaha
Tears every single time
HOW DOES THIS SONG MAKE ME SOB EVERY TIME

GREAT SONGS WILL DOTHAT!!!!
My brain: "Huh. That guy looks really familiar...was he in the movie? Maybe as an extra? I can't imagine Lin casting one of the Broadway guys as an extra. I just don't remember" Later: "But dude just looks SO familiar..." About a minute from the end: "IT'S WASHINGTON"
damn i love this show so much
I'm going to see the London production of this show in October and with it'll be nothing like watching this cast. I know find well this song is going to reduce me to tears.

I aspire to be a part of something and share it with people with the same amount of pride and joy that these guys do.
Is anyone not in tears listening to this
Seeing Doreen Montalvo on screen for the last time is going to break me!!

this specific version of the song makes me cry wtf
