Incredibly gorgeous, and kind of rare someone makes a song that’s been in the public for decades their own! The singing is distinctly independent of the music, and would still be fantastic to listen to by itself. The piano simple, and beautiful, but nothing without the vocals, and this is an intensely vocal, feeling driven performance. So much soul, and depth of feeling. I’ve heard this song a million times, but I can’t stop since o found it. This artist deserves every opportunity to be heard, and I hope she goes far. In a world without feeling, and sometimes without meaning, such a profound emotive presence sticks out like a blood red, red hot, flaming red contrast, in a black and white dreary world of doom and gloom. Like a French Noir film, but the movie theater is in our minds and hearts, between our ears. Merciful cries to the lord, in a world drowning in apathy, and unfeeling inhumanity. A solemn love song, to those who feel alone, painted in a corner, isolated, and withdrawn. May you always find your way beautiful one.

This song has been known to me for a long, long time, so I know it well and have listened to the original probably 1000's of times, and that still pry is not even close still to the actual amount. To the point - I would say this is beautiful, but that falls short of what it is. See, some covers, they sing the words only, but not the emotion, not the soul, not the feeling of it. You have, and have done what not all can, make your voice itself as much a piece of the music, like an instrument in and of itself that gives life to this song. So, pardon the long-winded response, but the word I would call this is.... enchanting. Rare for a cover to hit the feeling of this song as the original does. You sang the soul and emotion not just the words, and, as I said, that is a rare feat and this is a truly enchanting cover.

It has always been that way ever since music gained a paying audience and will never change. If you want to see the most talented musicians look for buskers or who's playing at your local bar or pub.

guineesbiggetje I wrote her 3 songs she never heard. Since losing her, I changed the lyrics of a couple songs, including “I remember everything”, by 5 finger death punch, and Judith by Perfect circle. But instead of the verse “he did it for yoooooouuuu”, I changed it to “I waited for YOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH-oooooooooo” It’s been 10 years and a month since I lost her, and I wrote something in the guitar, and it was super sad, and I started to think of lyrics about her and I fucking just couldn’t. Too soon bro

This song saved my life ! The emotion and musical expression of grief and moving on is chilling . Coming to the understanding that the soul i laid my head down on and felt more love and safety from , treuly was a pack of lies , almost was my demise. You finally see past the swag and love someone for who they are and understand , that I could be so strong and yet ...so blind at the same time . The first time i was told these things . I remember it felt like I couldn’t breathe , my heart sank and i cried with pain , like this songs , emotions . and walk through that it all was a lie

Thoughtful, delicate, intelligent, measured and very focussed. Non musicians will have no idea how impossibly difficult it is to play at this pace for this long and maintain the emotion of the piece without ever being anything other than believable. Outstanding version of a song that may not always seem like it deserves this much respect however as done herein it becomes something precious. Thank you

I literately just stumbled across this. What an amazing voice this young lady has. Having never heard her name before this moment, she has a fan for everything she does in the future. Simply an amazing, ethereal piece of music. Just.. wow.

Artists like Sierra...they can take something you thought you knew completely inside and out and transform it into something that makes you hold your breath in amazement...at all the magic that was hiding in the music...hidden until they brought to life for you...

There's an acoustic version by the man himself that I'd say is the best. Then again it should be as it's his song. This version is damn close though and really beautiful in it's own right.

Sometimes a song needs to be stripped down and sung this way. The way your voice trails off in the microphone has power. This was the very first CD I ever bought because of this song. I did not have a CD player for 6 months but I had the CD. I was my former self and live my True Self finding songs that I cherish so deep in my heart. What a way to hear this lovely song sung so well.

It's a great achievement to own a song enough to make the cover be your own thing. Well done. It also made me appreciate Phil Collins all the more: he wrote things far outside what everyone else was doing. Fantastic.

POINT TAKEN: I saw Phil Collins in Pgh many years ago; outside on the grass with friends at 3 River’s Stadium! My all time fav is listening to Peter Gabriel singing the Iconic song at The Civic Arena…many moons ago! Thank you 🦋

I have been there three times... and the thing that I miss most is that thrill of feeling yourself totally wrap by this energy... nothing compares to this feeling... everything fades away with time, many things just end as suddenly as they begin, but this powerful feeling of being in love, that first rush of emotion and fulfillment, that is priceless... Save it, memorize it in every cell of your body... With that "state of mind", you can conquer the whole world. It doesn't matter if the person feels or not the same - it's *your* love, you've created this powerful thing inside you, converting all this dystopian reality in something beautiful and bigger than us all. I don't believe in people anymore - but I will always believe in love. It's our legacy as species, maybe the only one.

I think this is a worthy version that has captured my heart. This song is the icon of my life since I first heard it in 1981 when I was at the peak of my life. The trip to Silver Lake, the rain on the elevated road, the clouds breaking in two as the sunlight broke its path as the drums started to play.

It Froze me instantly and I was captivated by it until the End... This Beautiful Cover had the very same Effect.. Absolutely Beautiful, Soulful and Unparalleled version...an amazing performance of a timeless song.
