I feel like the GK is the position that needs to be respected the most. No one acknowledges them unless they pull off a tremendous save, but they get reprimanded severely if they make a mistake. Really demanding psychologically. Great video by the City backroom. Keep it up!

Bobby Aiyer Yeah goalkeepers are really important, it's like the last hope after the defenders. In the past of my life i was always saying: "I never wanna be a GK because when you can't stop the ball your whole team is gonna hate you." But today I realize that's really not true... and TODAY I'm still loving to goalkeep... (Sorry for bad English maybe, I'm not English...)
I ain't even a city fan and love this channel. The effort they put in to the videos really shows.
MUST WATCH for goalkeepers! Also very useful for players and overcoming bad games!

Very interesting video! I have not seen any big club do anything like this before! Another great video on a great football channel!
Keepers have all my respect. Its a tough and high injury risk position.
I absolutely love this channel.
great video about goalkeepers and what we go through. Well done Dave Felgate.
Thank you really helped
For the physical reaction that a keeper must depend on I recommend the good old punching bag. Learn the martial arts, it gives the balance and agility a player needs as well. Just like the punching bag, the game ball is the enemy, yes enemy a very sneaky and swift one at that. The soccer ball is nothing compared to defending punches and kicks, this changes the very way you view the game, the only purpose is that ball never crosses the line. Intercept it because the goalkeeper is one step ahead of the opponent. Have hands and feet as solid as a brick but light as a feather, they are your vectors. And think of nothing but the very moment you’re living in, thinking of anything else even a sip of water and it takes you away from the pitch. Be confident that everything has its reason and your purpose is the ball. The ball is what tallies points, the opponents are a distraction so ignore them its the best way to stay in control of YOUR world. In conclusion, be loud as hell, speak at the top of your lungs all the time and grunt like a rugby match, your sound will intimidate them even if they don’t show it. Go to a Metallica concert you’ll learn how you can melt their face with bursting sound lol
